I spotted this restaurant over week ago while shopping and decided today I wanted to try them out. I read all the reviews and thought this would be great to try. Restaurant was clean and quiet only one couple was there. The young guy walks up to register combs through his hair with his hands and just stared at me. He didn't say "Hello", "May I help you?" nothing. The first thing I noticed was he didn't have a mask on at all. Not a trace of a mask nor did the manager/owner. I ordered my food but I wanted the Fujiyama special with the 3 meats but he charged me for the two meat special. I looked at the receipt and said I wanted the $21 special and he mouths to the manager, "She said she wanted the steak and chicken." I told him I know what I said so as they figured out the difference I paid. Once that was straighten out the young guy immediately walks over and prepares the food. He takes a to-go container and put 2 scoops of rice in it? No gloves! The rice is just sitting on a table in a grey container along with other food and it's uncovered. I mean he never cooked the rice in the wok nothing. The rice was just sitting while he cooked the meat. The manager goes to the cooler and scoops the beef out with his gloves and starts cooking it. That was enough for me to witness. I was not going to feed my family this at all. I threw that food away in the restaurant. I immediately just went into the store to find something to cook. Definitely will not be going here again. I was so disgusted I didn't even care for a refund. Maybe someone else will have a better...
Read moreI don’t usually do this, but the experience today at a restaurant that I’ve eaten at over a dozen times was awful!! For one, I work close by, so it’s convenient. Secondly I really enjoy the food. This particular evening I called and placed an order which I usually do. It took a while to get my order right. My son also placed his order over the phone. Got back home with my order. It was missing steak that I paid for. Called back, the owner/cook was not accommodating! He kept denying the mistake that the employee admitted to making!! Instead of him apologizing and perhaps telling me to come back another day and he’ll make it right, he told me I had to come all the way back up there and come at the time he suggested to correct a mistake that was made at his establishment. I drove all the way back up there in heavy traffic and the young man who took the order apologized to me, but would not tell the owner that he in fact made a mistake. I believe if I was a white person, I would have been treated differently. After causing a scene, I was refunded my money and was told to keep the food. But, by that time, I didn’t want it!!! Highly disrespectful and disappointed in the way I was treated! It will be a while, if I ever decide to eat...

Sushi Time!!!!
My wife and I decided to stop by for take out. The staff is super friendly and you always feel so welcomed. I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried their sushi. Let me start out by saying that I was not a sushi person (I am now!). I got the Rice Mine Road Roll and now I am a believer!!!! This is a special roll that was prepared by Wayan. Make sure you ask for this roll! My mouth is salivating as I type this🤤😆 Can’t wait to stop by and get this again!
The Hibachi Steak is on point as well! My wife got the Hibachi Shrimp and as always, she was thoroughly pleased.
Fujiyama does not disappoint and I think that it is safe to say, this is the best Japanese Steak and Seafood House that Tuscaloosa has to offer.
Do yourself a favor and get the RICEMINE ROAD ROLL 🍱😋
I love the rice and the veggies. So delicious!!! The pot stickers were amazing and I really enjoyed the clear soup. Can’t wait to go back. The owner Wayan took time to come to our table to get our input on the menu....
