Found this place after looking for a tasty coffee shop in town. I wasnt crazy about the name or saying some of the drinks as I dont use profanity.
Either way loved the atmosphere and staff. Very friendly and knowledgeable.
I ordered an iced drink I think it was the BadA## with chocoloate and white chocolate. Also a poppyseed cake w cream cheese center, warmed up.
3.50 for Cake And 6.50 for coffee w whole milk.
I Bit into cake and spit it out on ground immediately. I couldn't even hold it in my mouth, thats how gross it was. I came at 4pm so maybe it was old or something. Sux that it was so pricey.
Coffee was kind of bland, not really sweet and seemed like something was separating in the drink. I kept sipping up particles of something.
So it wasnt the smooth iced, enjoyable, creamy, drink id hoped for. Maybe it was the coffee ice cubes competing w the the other ingredients..idk.
Gritty would be the word.
Too bad I spent so much. Bummer, Didnt finish either item.
Hopefully I can take the cake back and get a fresher slice in the morning.
Thanks for being kind though, Staff.
Update: Returned to exchange the items and they were kind enough to let me do so.
So Ended up getting caramel iced latte this time without coffee cubes only clear ice ( because they informed that, that is what likely caused my prior drink to become gritty).
I traded other poppyseed loaf for plain lemon because you cant go wrong w lemon.....except they did.
Yet again...
This time when they asked if I wanted it warmed up I said No thanks, because room temperature loaf is ok and I was afraid that that is what ruined the poppyseed loaf, them microwaving it
When they handed me my lemon loaf it was like ice cube ....huh???
I just took it so I wouldnt be a problem. They clearly took it out of freezer or it was in fridge thawing from being frozen. Jeez guys. Really. Who wouldnt want a frozen cake to b3 warmed under that circumstance.
Left store and vowed to wait until it fully thawed to eat. About 30min later. Bit into cake and it literally tasted like the inside of a fridge. You know how exposed food taste when it hasnt been covered or sealed in fridge and takes on that frideg cold air taste. Yuk!!! It was dry, tasted like no butter or any softening agent was added. And it was crumbling and falling apart in my hand as I was trying to hold it. I literally tried to just hold my breath and eat it without tasting it. And it left a refrigerator bad taste in my mouth. Wondering why this was 3.50. I didnt even know you could go wrong w cake. My expectations were not high i assure you. Just a basic soft moist lemon cake loaf. I got dry, crumbling refrigerator loaf.
All in all.... The iced coffe was normal w the clear ice.
But not worth the 6.5 price.
The search continues for a good, quality , unique coffe shop...
Read moreI came to this coffee shop because I was in the area after seeing my doctor in that same shopping center. My co-worker had told me about this coffee shop a while ago and told me it was unique because the ice cubes in their iced coffee have more coffee so your coffee doesn't get watered down, which is something all coffee shops should do. It's honestly a really great idea and something I had to try for myself since I was in the area.
When my mom and I walked into the coffee shop, we were immediately hit by the delicious scent of coffee. We knew it was going to be good the second that delicious scent hit our noses. We walked through the back of the coffee shop to the front, where we were warmly greeted by the batrista behind the counter. She gave us time to look over the menu, which had so many great options. My mom and I both ended up choosing a three waves latte. I got a cold one, and she got a hot one to go.
Flavor wise, I loved it. It's a unique flavor palate you won't find anywhere else, but I was a little disappointed because at first sip, my iced coffee was warm. I tried swirling the drink around to get it to cool off faster but it ended up taking a bit to get cold so I had to wait until I got home to add more ice to it to help it cool off faster. Don't get me wrong, though. It was good. I was just disappointed it wasn't as cold as you'd expect with an iced coffee.
Aside from that, I did like it and would give this place another try. I'd just recommend adding more ice to their iced coffee if possible because mine definitely needed more...
Read more3.5/5 Okay, the name of this place totally got my attention! And it was right off the freeway, super easy to get to. I'd driven by it a couple of times and finally had to stop. First visit, I wanted an iced mocha. I saw these tasty-looking malasadas, but they don't make them there because they don't have a kitchen, so I skipped them. Getting my drink took a while though. I saw the people working doing some kind of handshake thing. It made me wonder if that's why my simple drink took over 10 minutes. Thought maybe it was just a busy day, so I went back on a quiet Sunday for a second try. Nope. Again, it took way too long to get my coffee. Twice now, they haven't been quick with my order. The drink itself was good, I'll give them that. But if you're in a hurry, it's just not worth stopping. The spot is easy to find, but the slow service makes it a no-go if you're...
