As a Google reviewer and food blogger, I recently had the pleasure of visiting Barcode, an Iranian shisha bar and restaurant nestled in the heart of the city.
🏙️ Tucked away in a cozy corner, Barcode exudes warmth and charm from the moment you step through the door.
When checking their menu, one particular item caught my eye - Shams, an Iranian-made beer.
Intrigued, I decided to give it a try. 🍺 While the concept was captivating, personally, I found the beer a bit too watery for my palate. Nonetheless, it added to the unique experience Barcode offers.
🍕Moving on to the culinary delights, we sampled a variety of dishes including pizza, falafel, and a sausage and cheese sandwich.
🌭Each dish was a testament to the chef's skill, bursting with flavor and authenticity. The Persian-style pizza, in particular, transported me back to memories of home with its impeccable texture and taste. 🍕
❗️However, no experience is without its flaws, and one area Barcode could improve upon is its air ventilation. Despite opting to sit outside on the patio, I couldn't help but notice the lack of adequate airflow, especially considering the number of patrons present.
In terms of service, the staff at Barcode were satisfactory, earning a solid 4 out of 5 rating from me. While not overly remarkable, they were courteous and efficient, ensuring a pleasant dining experience overall. 😊
In conclusion, Barcode offers a delightful glimpse into Iranian cuisine and culture, with its cozy ambiance and flavorful dishes. While there are areas for improvement, such as air ventilation, the overall experience is one worth savoring.
Whether you're craving a taste of home or seeking a new culinary adventure, Barcode is sure to leave a lasting...
Read moreTables were left dirty for long time while server guys and other employees were chilling and having lunch for the whole time we were there!
The cook use same hand with black gloves he was making food with to touch everything and everywhere and make food with same gloves!
Washroom was super dirty And no one comes to ask if we want to place any order, or if everything is fine, they just want to seat and chill inside in the dining area.
Suggestion to owner: Ask people to Clean washroom at least ones a day
Lower the oven temperature and let the mushroom on the pizza cook properly, the pizza served for us, cheese was melted fine, crust corners were burnt and mushroom inside the pizza wasn’t cooked,
Ask your employees to clean the tables right away , take hookah inside, when customers leave, put customers on first priority not their lunch!
Come to work clean and organized, take a shower before coming to work,
Wash the seats in your patio, they might be black but they are visible and so dirty with a lot of stains on them

Read moreWe had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. We ordered the brisket pizza and fries, and unfortunately, the quality of the food was incredibly low. • Pizza: As shown in the first photo, the pizza looked promising when it arrived. However, the brisket smelled and tasted as though it had been stored in an old fridge for far too long. The dough was clearly pre-made and tasted cheap, while the cheese had an unpleasant, low-quality flavor. After just one and a half slices, we gave up, as seen in the second photo where the pizza remained largely untouched. • Fries: These were equally disappointing—bland and of very low quality.
I shared my concerns with the waiter, Amir (who I believe is the owner), but all he said was “sorry.” It felt dismissive and unprofessional.
Adding to the disappointment, the restaurant seemed to be filled with the owner’s friends, which makes the glowing reviews online highly questionable.
Overall, we won’t be returning and cannot recommend this place to others. Save your...
