Decent Coffee Spot with pretty good Matcha.
Caffe in Coffee in Irvine delivers a mixed experience that lands squarely in the "good but not great" category. Their signature matcha is genuinely exceptional - rich, perfectly balanced with the sweet cream, and beautifully prepared. It's worth a visit for this drink alone if you're a matcha enthusiast.
The atmosphere is another highlight - cozy lighting, comfortable seating, and a thoughtful layout that works well for both solo work sessions and casual meetups.
What holds this place back from a higher rating is the staff's evident lack of enthusiasm. Orders were taken with minimal engagement, questions about menu items met with terse responses, and there was not much sense of warmth or welcome during my visit. This place is beautifully minimalist and has a relaxing ambiance that's perfect for unwinding or getting some work done. This is exactly the kind of spot I've been looking for—great coffee, a clean and inviting atmosphere, and an overall fantastic experience. Can’t wait to come back and see what else they have in store as they...

That's about where the good parts end. The shelf of misc things for sale is very very overpriced. The drink prices are nothing to write home about. The breakfast burrito, while not expensive, felt like a Costco item, and had hot and cold spots indicating that it was just microwaved, maybe even from frozen.
In short the decor got an upgrade but the food got a major downgrade. I wouldn't come here again except for pictures and drinks, if my favorite drink shops...
