One of my favorite places to eat. Used to be a waitress here when it was under Ken and Laura's owner ship. Tonight's experience was horrible. Wasn't busy, and yet our waitress took our order and messed up 3 of the 5 orders. None of which were anything different than what's on the menu, and then took them 15 minutes to get my son's correct order back out to us. By then drinks were empty and she didn't even pay any mind to it, that was the last time we saw her. It took me waving down another waitress to get our drinks refilled, boxes for left overs and our bill. When I asked to speak to the owner Rick he was apparently "too busy to come speak to me". I have to say it was the most disappointing experience there. I was calm and polite through the whole thing even thanked the waitress who ended up taking her time away from other tables to help us because our waitress never came back. Having been in food industry, and having been a waitress for 2 years for LaCasita I get how hard it can be, but there were 7 tables and 3 waitresses there was no good reason for the lack of service, or the lack of caring on the owners part to speak to a...
Read moreLa Casita is a small local restaurant in Twin Falls, Idaho. It has been around for many years, and offers good Mexican food in an intimate family setting. The seating is all indoors with most being booths, plus a few tables in the middle of the dining area. Customers enter, wait to be seated, then are offered menus and order in a typical sit down dining experience. Two single room restrooms are available, labeled as one for men and one for women at the back of the restaurant. The food was good, with common options such as chips, salsa, guacamole, enchiladas, taco salad, and quesadillas. The drinks are typically standard Pepsi products, and there are some dessert options of sopapilla and fried ice cream. The entrance can be a little crowded when customers are entering and wait to be seated, then others are trying to check out at the front register if the server is busy, but they do their best to keep it moving. If you have a larger group, I would strongly recommend calling ahead for a reservation. Overall, it is a nice local family sit down for...
Read moreThis is definitely the McDonalds of Mexican food, very very generic and Americanized, but not even the good Americanized Mexican food, this very much reminds you of a banquet tv dinner, bland, boring, not even on par with Taco Bell, but the prices reflect that of far better quality restaurants, I think the only thing keeping this place open is the lack of options on the south side of town. They need to hire someone authentic and redo the entire menu, or at least make it to Mexican food standards, my chili verde burrito literally tasted like canned chicken and the sauce tasted more like brown gravy than verde sauce, also on the menu I t says chili verde burrito and taco for 9.95 then they charge you a dollar for the sauce that should come on a chili verde burrito…… Cheverrias next door is twice the food for better prices, and it’s so authentic that the waitress doesn’t even...
