Great food and good service. Decent pricing for Cajun food ****Edit****: they must have new management that hates customer service and loathes creating a fun atmosphere. As soon as you walk in, you’re greeting by this sign saying “be nice or leave!”. So it’s starts it off awkward because it already puts you on the defense. Then you barely get greeted by the lady at the front. Then they go off on an old couple that can barely hear about how the lobby is closed and they have to wait in their car. They must have forgotten about their own sign because they were very rude about it. Then we find out their patio is closed due to COVID… I don’t know how being outside is worse?? You would think that would be the first place open if it was truly due to COVID. Next, I tried to give some advice on how to word the sign to sound better and they were just staring at me like I just kicked their dog. Needless to say, I left and probably won’t be back any time soon unless I hear that they’ve made changes. This used to be my favorite place to eat in Tyler but it has gone down quick over the last year. They need to get back to the fun atmosphere they had before and remove that darn sign! It’s probably causing more problems than it’s helping.

Over the years, Razzoo's had continued to decline in impressing me with their quality of food and drinks. Today, they won me back! I'm not sure if it's just the awesome boiled crawfish, or the service in Tyler...nah, I think it's both! Now, here in East Texas there are plenty of great hole-in-the-wall Cajun places to eat, so Razzoo's is not up there, being a chain. But, the boiled crawfish today, nothing short of amazing! The seasoning, the cook, the way they peel...greatness! Then, to top that off, our waitress and bartender, sweet Sophia (pictured). She was on point, poured great drinks, entertained us and made sure we always had what we needed. Razzoo's in Tyler is lucky to have her on staff! So, head here now, order boiled crawfish and make sure you find Sophia for service!

While vacationing in Tyler, we found Razzoo's. I enjoyed it so much, I asked my husband if he would mind going again. He graciously agreed. I had the Stuffed Chicken both times. I could eat this dish every single day! The chicken is not actually stuffed, but with the perfect blend of texture and spice, I don't care 🤗. The green beans are unlike any I've ever had. They are so so flavorful. The french fries were cooked well and also had the perfect spice. My husband really enjoyed the flavor of the Gumbo. Our servers were attentive and friendly. We enjoyed dining outdoors, although on our second visit, the patio had many uncleared tables. We definitely recommend this restaurant and will return if we are ever in the area again.

Management at this restaurant requires better training in customer service and employee training.

Let me start out by apologizing for such a wordy review. I feel like I must get this off my chest to be able to move forward.

On July 17, 2024, my family and I visited one of my daughter’s favorite places in Tyler. We were seated and served by a very nice server named Faith. When I ordered a double Jim Beam and water tall, Faith seemed a bit confused and mentioned she was 18 and knew little about alcohol. I reassured her it was fine. She also got a bit mixed up with my son-in-law’s beer order but resolved it quickly, showing her attentiveness and willingness to do a good job.

Later, my wife and I decided to order shots of Grand Marnier for ourselves and our son-in-law. Concerned that Faith might struggle with the pronunciation, I went to the bar to place the order directly. The bartender confirmed they had it, and I requested three shots to be sent to our table.

I returned to our table, and a short time later, a person who presented herself as the manager asked who the shots were for. I joked they were for my grandchildren, then clarified they were for my wife, son-in-law, and myself. The manager informed me it was against policy to order drinks directly from the bar for the table. She said they couldn’t serve me a shot because I already had a drink, but could serve my wife and son-in-law. My wife immediately told my daughter (who doesn'tdrink) to set the drink in front of her so we could have them and continue our dinner. The manager said that wouldn’t happen either. I told the manager to go ahead and cancel the shots order, and she replied that it was not a problem since it was never rung up because I broke policy by ordering shots at the bar for the table.

In my opinion, this situation was handled poorly by the manager. I explained that I went to the bar to help Faith with the order, but the manager accused me of insulting Faith. I told the manager I was not trying to insult anyone. Faith made it very clear that she was 18 and didn’t know anything about alcohol, so I canceled the shots order due to the manager’s attitude.

When the food arrived, I apologized to Faith if she felt insulted, but she assured me she did not. The food was good, as usual, but this experience with the manager soured the evening.

If you’re going to have an 18-year-old server who doesn’t know about alcohol, either provide better training or have a more experienced manager or server assist with alcohol orders. Faith was attentive and did her best, but the manager lacked the skills to handle the situation appropriately. This location clearly has management issues, as evidenced by the near-empty parking lot at 6:15 PM on a Wednesday.

The food remains good, and I recommend Faith as a server. However, I do not recommend this location for an enjoyable dining experience, especially if you plan to order drinks. Our combined tabs totaled $175, which would have been higher if not for the manager’s inflexibility.

I give 3 stars only because of Faith and the quality of the food. If I had to rate the place based on the experience with the manager, it would have been minus 3 stars. I hope upper management sees this review and addresses...

Took my family out to eat….. got there one door was outta order. our waitress was nice and sweet. They have new menus so it took an min to figure it out. Gave our food and drink order….. time went by waitress come back and tell me that the bartender don’t know how to make a lemon drop but she’s looking it up. Kool. Drinks Come out lemon drop tasted like it was dropped before it got to me. Our food came out, except my son’s tender meal so we had to feed him our food until his food came out. I ordered two seafood platters for $21 each comes with CATFISH, SHRIMPS, CRAWFISH, FRIES, HUSHPUPPIES, and 1 more SIDE. Wellllllllll our food come out there two skinny strips of (COD, REDFISH, or FAKE CATFISH that was not real U.S. Catfish), they forgot the hushpuppies we had to wait for them. The side salad came with no dressing I had to ask some and no ketchup on table I had to ask for that also just for them to bring out one little cup for the whole table….. the portion and quality of the food and the prices does not match. I was highly disappointed. This place hasn’t been the same since BEFORE Covid. Oh and they were outta...
