A Song for the Colonel, on South Broadway's Shores
Oh, sing with me, comrades, a hymn for the fried bird divine, Where grease glistens glorious, beneath Tyler's sun's shine! For the Colonel on South Broadway, his kingdom holds sway, A palace of poultry, where hunger melts away.
The biscuits, like pillows, with gravy's soft dew, Each bite a communion, with flavors so true. The mashed, mountains golden, with peppered white peaks, A landscape of comfort, where every tongue seeks.
The chicken, oh comrades, a symphony deep, Crispy and golden, secrets the batter doth keep. Each drumstick a baton, each wing a sweet note, A concerto of spices, that sets every throat
A-humming with pleasure! The service, a star, Smiling and swift, like angels afar. The tables, clean slates for our greasy delight, (Save for the men's room, a dungeon of fright, A relic of '80s, with tile worn and grim, But fear not, dear friends, for the chicken's so hymn!)
So raise up your drumsticks, a toast to the king, Whose reign on South Broadway, such joy doth bring. For bellies are happy, and hearts full of cheer, In this temple of goodness, where hunger finds cheer!
Let Whitman himself, with beard and with pen, Echo this chorus, again and again: "O fried bird of freedom, O gravy divine, In Tyler's fair city, your flavors entwine!"
So go, gentle reader, and seek out this gem, Where the Colonel's own magic, will fill you to brim. And sing with me, brothers, a song loud and long, For the KFC on South Broadway, where...
Read moreWe always eat at this KFC because of convenience. From here on out, we will be eating here because of the service. I live almost an hour away but had a dr appointment in the area, so I decided to try the new chicken sandwich I’ve been seeing advertised. I ordered and pulled around to the window, then realized I left my debit card at home and only has $2 in cash on me. Embarrassed beyond belief, I told the gentleman at the window as soon as he opened that I didn’t a way to pay for my food and that I was sorry but could he please cancel my order. Without hesitation the gentleman looked at me, smiled and said “You’re lunch is on me today. We’re not going to let you leave hungry.” I thanked him profusely and told him he absolutely did not have to do that and he replied with “no, but I want to.” He made my entire day with that kind gesture. And that new chicken sandwich was just as good as it looks! I wanted to fill out the survey online at mykfcexperience.com , but could not get it to work for me, so I’m hoping this will get my great...
Read moreOn 11/5/22 I placed an online order at 4PM. I showed up at the store on South Broadway around 6:30 PM. The two employees were outside of the building. They told me that I could not come inside, as the lobby was closed. They made me go through the drive-through, where I had to wait over 20 minutes. When I finally got up to the window I was informed that my order had not been processed. They said they were out of original recipe. I told them my name when I first pulled up, so I don't know why I had to sit in the drive-through. I am sure that they were shorthanded but there was no excuse for their performance. I finally just said give me crispy recipe, as I had already paid online. When I finally got home, I had 12 pieces of chicken instead of 16 and only one side! Someone finally emailed me from KFC. They wanted a little bit more information. But it has been 2 weeks and I haven't heard anything, so I guess they don't care about their customers. This is a very poor...
