Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q — Restaurant in Tyler

Typically I always go to Rudy's Barbeque when family members or myself do not feel like barbecuing so today I made an order of what I wanted for this restaurant which has amazing BBQ hands down but unfortunately, my order was made wrong I called about my order and spoke to the manager the first manager was a guy and he was very very polite and he was very apologetic about the whole thing so he was trying to give me a refund for the for the whole meal I stated to him everything else was correctly I just want a refund for my sandwich unfortunately I guess he couldn't do that he didn't know how to so another manager got on the phone which was a female and she had the audacity to tell me that she could not give me a refund for something that I paid for and that I wanted because it wasn't made correctly she was very rude so I told her I will bring my whole meal back and get a full refund she stated okay with an attitude and so about 4:45 I took the whole bill back and they said that I should have my refund but they did not tell me when or about how long so I will be sitting back waiting for my refund and I also took a picture of my receipt I will never go back to Rudy's you lost a good customer

Update when I wrote this review it was on the 21st of March when I took my food back all of the food back because the manager told me then she can give me a refund because they made a mistake so so I asked him where will my money be on my card she said she didn't I waited 7 days and today I called back and that's why I have my money not have been put on my card when I took the whole meal back and then the manager said that it has not been in process because that manager that night that girl that girl night manager at 3:21 on the 21st of March did not process it so now I am still waiting for my money because he has to process it so she lied she needs to be fired she is inconsiderate of others and she is wrong for what she done I tell you if you ever order their your order is wrong and that night manager or afternoon or mid-shift with whoever she is they know who she is who worked on that night that would not give me my refund and still didn't give me my refund told me that my refund was in process would she never done I did it today on the 28th of March he was very polite and I thank him for that and again I will never be back because of the rude manager that shouldn't be one the nerve of her and the girl at the window with the scar on her left cheek the Mexican girl they were in together she smashed my receipt and food when I gave it to her very unprofessional and very...

The bbq here is pretty good, but all of the competition in Tyler merits good service to stay in the game. You have Stanley's, Bodacious, BBQ Hernandez, Spring Creek, and Dickey's yuck! among many other choices for regular BBQ, and every fast-food joint serves breakfast. In fact, there's a Whataburger right down the road on the Loop that serves delicious taquitos.

I got up this Saturday morning (6/3) and decided to go out and bring the wife some breakfast back. Driving by Rudy's on my way to Whataburger, I saw "Breakfast Tacos" advertised on the building and thought, "breakfast tacos from Rudy's, that's got to be good," and pulled up to the drive through behind a person already at the window. When I pulled up, it was 9:48am. I don't know what happened with the order of the person in front of me, but they sent it back, talked to the employee working the window, a few minutes later got a bag again, opened it up and went through it, talked to the employee more, pulled up a couple of feet, stopped, went through the bag more, then finally pulled up enough for me to get to the window. I asked the employee if they were still serving breakfast. She said no. I asked what time they stopped​ serving breakfast. She said 10:00am they stop. At that time, it was 10:12am. I told her that I had sat behind the person in front of me for 20 mins. She apologized and told me that they had already put all of the breakfast stuff up. I told her thank you and drove to the Whataburger for sausage and egg taquitos and coffee. So, there ya go. Plenty of BBQ restaurants and breakfast in Tyler TX. Rudy's has been one of, if not the best, places to go to for barbecue since I was a kid! All of the items on their menu are delicious, and every single one of them has the most tender cuts of meat whether it be the brisket, pulled pork, sausage, you name it, it's good! I always have had a weakness for the double meat smoked potatoes with brisket and for my other meat I usually bounce back and forth between the jalapeno cheese sausage, pulled pork, and the smoked turkey! They have really good BBQ sauce and I get a bottle of it whenever I can! I dine in and order to go often and no matter what I get it, whether it's the potato, a sandwich, or the ribs, it never disappoints. I always love to dine in and enjoy the beers or specialty sodas they have when you walk in that are literally ice cold, but would also recommend taking advantage of the large cups they offer for fountain drinks! If you bring back the cup for your next Visit they will refill it for less than a dollar! They also have some of the best chocolate pudding for their desserts! I also enjoy that you can go and place an online order ahead of time and it will be ready by the time you get there or you can walk in and order at the counter for the full experience and it's a usually a very short wait time unless the line is long.
