Southern Classic Chicken — Restaurant in Tyler

Best fried chicken in Tyler. I do frequently have to wait about ten minutes but the chicken is fresh so I don't mind (chicken takes linger than burgers people). They get busy at odd times like between 8 and 9 at night. They have only got my order wrong once and I've been going there for about 8 years.

They are not always "friendly" but I wouldn't say they have ever been rude to me. They just aren't cherry I guess is the best way I would term it.

The price is right and the chicken is great so I don't mind. Keep in mind their crust can be a bit spicy to some people so if you're sensitive to that you may want to go with Church's or KFC.

Sad to say my experience here was not a good one. The food at best was fairly good, but was expecting more as I have heard good things from two teenage grandkids and a daughter. Purchased 4 complete individual meals board numbers 2,2,3,4, 10 piece tenders, 7 rolls and three large sides. The woman takimg order was not very pleasant, overcharged us for an extra meal we did not order or receive and 7 rolls we did not receive. It was a to go order and we did immediately put all but a large fries in a heat bag. Shared fries on way home which were surprisingly soggy. Was not overwhelmed by anything . Tenders were ok, chicken pieces according to kids were ok as well. Of everything ordered whoch came to more than $100 was the sweet cord grits. I personally will never go back again. This was my very first time at this place I was actually surprised and shocked and amazed at how good the chicken was. It was seasoned to perfection. Very very good. The French fries were hot and had light seasoning on them. I live almost 250 miles away from this place but I am planning to visit again soon. This place is guaranteed to have you craving its food. It was totally worth the money. My family and I enjoyed the food so much we wanted to take some home. Yes 250 miles away. It was just that good.
