Texas Famous Fried Chicken — Restaurant in Tyler

I used to come here often at least twice a month but this time I came as a dasher picking up a order for a customer and I get a notification that the food is ready 5 minutes later the order is not ready he was prepping everything up and when I asked and I told him that he should click the kiosk until it's ready because they time us and they expect us to be already headed out the door when the order is ready and he was very confused just saying that he been doing this for 10 years or so and laughing asking me how long I've been doing this myself and I told him I've been doing this for 5 years He was saying that I was new to the industry but food itself I've been doing food industry for good 8 years. Well I'm not impressed. Ordered a thigh combo. The taste was fine but nothing to write home about. Name has changed to Texas famous fried chicken. I don't know who told them they were famous. The thighs were the smallest of ever got from anywhere. The roll was smaller that a cheap can biscuit. Also ordered dirty rice. Not sure what they brought me. It was no dirty rice I've ever seen. Again the taste was decent but it looked like gumbo. They need to cook the fries longer and crisp them up a bit. Yet the chicken was over cooked. What’s funny is I had no idea how to order, so she asked if I wanted the combo. Silly me, I thought she meant combo fish and shrimp so I told her fish only and while I was confused as to why I literally only got 3 pieces of fish and nothing else, I am not mad. Quite the opposite, the fried fish was AMAZING! Haha, next time I’ll get the combo lmao!

Edit: Lost a couple stars because I came back at lunchtime today (11:45) and the doors were locked with employees visible inside. Cooking even. But looked at me like I had 5 heads. I left. Won’t be back. Food is good but I don’t know what is going on there service...
