I normally don’t write bad reviews; look at my review history and see for yourself; but I feel like it’s my civil duty in this case. Normally I just make a mental note and take my business elsewhere, but this place has thoroughly earned the thrashing they are about to get.
This was a long time coming, and not just from a 1-off experience. If there’s one good thing to say about this place, it would be that they are consistent… only that’s not praise in this case. They are consistently bad, every time.
If you ever come to this place and they aren’t out of at least 2 options you want, then shake their hand. By the time they confirm they have an option I want, I’m usually so far down my list of alternatives that I’m ready to just tap out, but I have a difficult time with saying no sometimes, thanks mom.
I like my sandwiches un-toasted because I prefer not to have a shower of crumbs raining down upon myself and my surroundings with every bite; but don’t worry though, that’s not a problem here, at this place, no matter if you choose toasted or untoasted, the bread is so stale that the crumbs rain down in mighty cataracts. You might as well use it for meatloaf filler
It’s actually astonishing how bad of an experience it is here every single time. It’s like when you catch yourself in the middle of a bad habit for the first time and wonder how it took you so long to realize and make the connection in your brain. I’m honestly annoyed with myself more at this point.
The bacon they have at this location is the biggest joke of all; it’s pathetic, to even call it a “strip” of bacon would be giving major side-eye. The bacon is so thin you can read through it; it’s so thin, that even if you were stupid enough to come here but cautious enough not get your bread toasted, the bacon still turns into slivers in your mouth; and not the good kind either, it almost beggars belief
As I was cursing under my breath while my bread turned into sawdust in my hands, I felt like I had to write this; my car seats will never be fully clean again. if I can save even one person from a bad sandwich, all of my trials and tribulations will have been worth it.
If you’re an old soul like me, I think you’ll listen. DONT COME HERE. Get something off the roller grill that is in the gas station store that this subway leeches off. Even the driest hotdog or roller bite past its 4 hour shelf life will be better than anything you will get from this subway, be it their burnt cookies or their chicken salad wraps which I guarantee you they will not have available if you dare to ask.
Just take this good advice and go absolutely anywhere but here; I’ve eaten 3 day old burritos from taco bell off my counter that rank higher than a sandwich from here
Consider this me breaking up with you, umatilla-subway
Don’t call me don’t @ me, now I’m just somebody that you...
Read moreExtremely, unclean bathrooms, NO DIAPER CHANGING table. New mommy found a table not in use for customers out of desperation for 4mth old. Person in charge (older lady, not manager, just shift supervisor) proceeded to be EXTREMELY RUDE, instead of politely explaining how the table simply still cannot be used even with a pad. Emotional brand new mom, understood, but was treated way to poorly with improper tone and lack of customer service skills. This whole family has provided service to fast food and none of us ever overly corrected customers using hateful tones or made statements to retort, like, 'That isn't my problem'. Furious with the lack of today's ability to provide the general public good services, let alone a proper demeanor. People be acting and talking to people like they are trolls online. Disgusted with this. Called this in and spoke with that lady, she takes no accountability. Calling...
Read moreThe sandwich was average. You know how it is at Subway. The food isn't exactly great. I had a 6 inch Tuna on the new sunflower crunch bread.
But I'm absolutely certain that I have found Subway's slowest moving sandwich maker. And yes he works here in Umatilla Oregon. The customer in front of me order to footlong steak and cheese sandwiches. And talk about meticulous. This guy took almost 15 minutes assembling their sandwiches, and then took my order. Why did I wait around that long? Cuz I was hungry and there were no hot dogs on the grill at this Mobil gas station / Subway restaurant.
All total it took me 24 minutes before I finally got my food. Which gave me more than enough time, (unfortunately) to take notice all the flies that are inside this...
