Amy's Donuts — Restaurant in Union City

Long time customer. One of our favorite East Bay food places. sandwiches under $8, huge selection of tasty donuts and pastries at good prices. Large coffee is up from $1.50 to $2.00 (2025) I do not think I will have trouble coping. Coolers full of drinks, milk, salads, HBEs, etc. They have a lot of coffee pots at the ready in the morning. Very nice, friendly staff. A go to food trough with easy parking. Strip mall has 0 0 Liquors (think Raiders) Quick Stop, dry cleaners, pizza place, taqueria and bar. Across street more foods. So great place to start your day or end it. Update Dec 2022, slight price hikes but same service. Some pretty generous helping on sandwiches. Coffee only 2 bucks for a large. Got 2 coffees, milk, and Rost Beef sandwich for all of $10.75. Open EVERY day. Update June 2025: yes prices have increased. But you can still get a whole sandwich...

This place is a hidden gem! When someone told me about this place years ago I was skeptical when I got there. Don’t be deceived by how it looks! As the saying goes, “you can’t judge a book by its cover!” Best fresh donuts! And drrrumrollllll pleeeez! Theeeee best sandwiches at great prices! Myyy favorite is HOT TURKEY PASTRAMI on Dutch crunch with pepperoncini and provolone & everything on it! Goldie, who makes the sandwiches in the morning is sooo sweet and she works fast! Owners I call Mom (Amy) and pop are going to retire this year and their son is thinking whether he should continue! Pleeeeez don’t go! Urge them to stay open!...

This small spot in Union City is a hidden gem. I’d passed by many times without stopping, but after a friend recommended their sandwiches and donuts, I decided to give it a try. The sandwiches come in a variety of options and have a flavorful dressing, paired with freshly baked bread that adds a special touch. The donuts, made in-house, are fresh and delicious.
