snack, bunch lunch, dinner too. And takeout and all delicious each time, unexpectedly so.

I totally love this restaurant even though some of its dishes like pork for example I cannot eat. I've tried a variety of its fish and ovolacto veggie dishes, egg fried rice, baby pancakes ( don't ask me their Korean names 😂)
Everything I've tried has been unique and delicious - unexpectedly so. It's not the first San Francisco Bay area Korean restaurant I've eaten at. No coffee no recognizable tea: it's canned tea tastes like kids candy, sweet and refreshing but not "tea" in any recognizable way: try it anyway cuz it's different.
It's egg fried rice was too delicious for words: emphasis on the rice not the eggs and I can't compare it to any other fried rice I've ever eaten maybe because I was hungry and thirsty. I dunno. Couldn't swear in a court of law, but I can swear I really liked it
They have some kind of pickled turnip (I think I've never seen bright yellow turnips): oh so refreshing!
The food isn't from some hot plate, so be patient especially if it's crowded. ...it seems everything on the menu is made to order. Delightfully fresh.
The service is charming friendly attentive generous intelligent patient even to a tired disreputable looking old bloke like myself, a rarity in the Bay area.
There are so many things I want try one by one. They all look interesting. Very different from other east asian cuisines. This isn't haute cuisine. no blue star. But so attentively made. Beautifully presented. Not noisy when busy. Most customers appear Korean too. Many younger. Families too, multigenerational.
I like it so much and look forward to Fridays when I'm around the corner. Before and after noon prayer 🙏🏽: I go to prolong the peaceful mental space before calling an Uber back to the US of A

Read moreThis incredibly underrated place checks all my boxes. It's close to my house, it's reasonably priced, and it's tasty as heck. They also put a ton of care into their food. I once ordered by phone and arrived 45 minutes later to pick it up (I got distracted by something...). They had thrown away my order because it was against their ethos to serve cold food. They actually made me an entirely new order and threw in some fish bones (which were PERFECT for making soup) for free. Even though it was my fault and even though they very well may have lost money on my order, they still took the high road and ensured that I was happy. I will be coming back here for days, weeks, and even...
Read morethey renovated from just Fish Day to K Kitchen Fish Day to include Korean food. I ordered sushi, two appetizers, and lunch special with sauteed seafood item included to it (see pic), they were very good! And lunch menu with all this food for less than $20 alone was worth it. My daughter and I ate as much as our stomachs allowed, but only managed to finish 1/3. Boricha (roasted barley tea) was great with the food as well to cleanse palette.
It was so good that I took a picture after already digging in half way through the meal...
The decor is really pretty, very calming Korean elements and colors that look...
