Pictures are below. It took me some time to write this as it was a disappointing experience.
We came for my dad's birthday in July, he had Mexico Lindo on his mind since a disappointing father's day meal at another Mexican spot. The outside still states Mexico Lindo, but the doors and menus say another name...Mariscos Sinaloa. Okay....
Anyway, we are seated by a woman who is also our server, also someone else's server who are seated on opposite ends, and is also the bar tender, food runner, and maybe even the cook. This was the only person we saw in the hour and a half we were there. She brings out some chips and salsa, parents love the salsa. The chips go by fast, and it was a hassle finding this one employee who is superwoman at this point.
We order our food - steak fries for the appetizer, carnitas plate for my brother, fried fish for mom, mariscada for dad, and a 3 mares plate for me (chicken, carne asada, and shrimp plate).
Mom was disappointed in her plate. It didn't come with rice or beans or any additional side....for 33...wow. dad's plate was also small, not much to offer (then again we always compare to the $60 mariscada from San Leandro's La Cabana, which is always at the top of his list). Brother's carnitas were good, just not much of it. And my plate...sigh.
The meat was good, I left that as to go to bring back. The chicken was ok as well. The shrimp....now they only give 3 so I am thinking these are top market priced shrimp. When I say these tasted like the dirtiest smelling water you could possibly ever smell...but in your mouth. I nearly puked. It was disgusting. The shrimp must have gone bad BUT they still sold and grilled them. The rice and beans....if you see my reviews, I always rate rice and beans as its a basic staple in Mexican food. The beans were salty as can be. The rice was dry and mixed together, the beans saltiness still overpowered every bite.
Would i come back? 0/10 absolutely not. Please decide what your name is, and maybe have 2 staff instead of 1 so people don't wait on drinks or utensils, even if its a...
Read moreThis place is now called los mariscos sinaloaenses, I went on a friday night with a friend when they had live banda. Let me start out with saying it was soooooo loud, I know bandas are loud but this was bad, especially they did not play as well as other local bandas. The food this time was a disappointment, I guess its hit or miss, the fish tacos are good however their chicharron de pescado is not! No seasoning whatsoever just 12 little pieces of deep fried fish that's costs $18 which I found to be a ridiculous amount for the sub quality. I also tried their chicken fajita which had a lot of nervy/ligament pieces instead of actual meat. Their drinks are also over priced, my friend and me each got a regular margarita that tasted just like the jose cuervo margarita mix for $20 each, when I asked our waitress why are we being charged 40$ for 2 Drinks she replied back with attitude saying that because we asked for Don Julio tequila. I dont mind paying this amount of money when the food and service are of quality but I didnt get what I payed for at this place. This new owner has to look into improving their food quality as well as their customer service they think by bringing live banda will help attract a crowd, which might but once they experience what I did they might reconsider going...
Read moreWent here with my boyfriend on a date, waitresses kept being rude like if him and I weren’t a couple, served us water gave me water with no ice while they gave my bf water with what mine should’ve looked like, with ice, we share our alcoholic beverages so we ordered a miche to share while the waitress asks what about me as she’s walking away. I mean duh right that’s why they are waitresses. Not only that but all these h s kept on staring at my boyfriend so much that one was confusing her table with ours as she’s walking straight towards our table, and every time these waitresses past by they would uncomfortably stare. Just recommend if you’re going on a date do not go here these girls that although work at a restaurant remain hungry and thirsty for what isn’t theirs. Lol just...
