Today, I walked into this Dairy Queen with what should’ve been a simple interaction ending with me eating an ice cream cone. I won first place in a local sport competition and received a free small cone coupon as part of the prize. When I handed the coupon to the young woman at the counter. She looked it over, and wasn’t sure if it could be redeemed at that location. So she went to ask a coworker. Unfortunately, her coworker was just as puzzlers, so they both brought in a third employee, a man who I believe was the manager. That’s when the tone/ atmosphere shifted dramatically. This man barely acknowledged me before snatching the coupon and examining it like I was trying to pass off a counterfeit coupon. After several long, silent moments, he abruptly said the coupon was invalid, despite the fact that it clearly stated it was redeemable at any Dairy Queen location, with no purchase necessary. His attitude was cold, basically accusatory, as I had done something wrong just by presenting the coupon. It wasn’t just a simple denial, but it felt personal, as if I had somehow insulted him by daring to redeem a coupon won the same day. He glared, dismissed me, and shut the conversation down. To their credit, (which I truly appreciate ) the two original employees (clearly compassionate and customer satisfaction focused) immediately offered to personally pay for my cone out of their own pockets. That offer alone showed more kindness than I had expected, and it honorable at the least. But even that was not allowed. The manager shot them down harshly, telling them off in front of me. It was embarrassing, unnecessary, and utterly unacceptable. The real issue wasn’t the cone, it was the tone. The lack of basic respect, the unwillingness to look into the situation or honor a legitimate coupon, and most of all, the way he shut down two employees who were simply trying to do the right thing. This experience left a sour taste far worse than any ice cream could have fixed. I hope this location reflects on how this was handled—not just for me, but for the sake of the team members who were trying to do right by...
Read moreEvery time I go here they have issues, they never have our order ready if we order pick up. tonight we orderd 3 blizzards off the Uber app for pickup we got here 5 minutes early and asked too add 3 banana splits because the splits are not on the app. we pulled forward to wait because they said it was going to be a cupple minutes. after waiting 15 minutes passed time of order , the line of cars built up behind us ( we were in the designated pull up spot) we desided to go inside, to which my girlfreind explained the situation. aparently the order Just got ready (all stapled and sealed) my girlfriend came out to the car, we opend the bags (2) and NO banana splits. very glad we checked first!! my girlfriend went back inside and told the staff we were missing the splits. the window helper then grabed the bags ( already stapled and sealed) and handed them over. they told my girlfriend they have to do all the other customers in the line b4 door dash or Uber... THERE WAS NOONE ELSE IN LINE WHEN WE GOT THERE!! And the blizzards all fail the blizzard test!! all half way melted!!! but at this point its not worth our time. Also, the 2 girls that have worked there for the last 2 years are rude and childish! every time they have attitude! We recognized them from last year when we came an hour b4 closing and they HID behind the counter and pretended they wernt there !!! laughing and giggling like it was a game!! We gave them a chance this time because its been over a year but obviously they can't...
Read moreI wasn't going to review my first experience here but after having 2 bad ones in a row in putting in my 2 cents. My first time there I ordered a triplestack burger. No where did it say it was spicy. After 2 bites I had a major stomach ache and lost my appetite. I went back up to the counter to read the description but there wasn't one, the employee asked if I needed help, I asked if it was supposed to be spicy, the cook heard and was willing to replace it and thought he had accidentally put jalapeños bacon on. I said "no it's okay , thanks anyway" and left. My son and I were in the neighborhood yesterday, thought I'd give it another try, they were super busy, very long inside line and drive thru, I ordered 2 sets of the 2 for 5. Pretzels and cheese, small blizzard and a 3 piece chicken strip meal. We were all the way back to West valley before noticing I didn't get my cheese and the chicken strip basket was missing but we got the drink. I called to see if I could get it from the WV location and the manager, Angie I think, was all rude and over explained different owners and to come back there, then hung up on me. 20 minutes late, she didn't apologize, looked stressed and mad, didn't offer anything for the trouble. It looked like only 4 people were working. My order just sat under the hot lamp while the new guy ran the register and 2 girls sitting by the Ice cream area just chatting. I...
