Baking Bird — Restaurant in Union Grove

My mom put me on to this small bakery in Union Grove and I am absolutely obsessed with their salted caramel bars. I get at least two every time I go. This last time I got three cake pops, an Oreo cake cup, a slice of cheesecake and two salted caramel bars. My daughter demolished the cake pops, so needless to say they were great. The cake cup was so good. It took me three days to eat all of it! I would take a bite and it would be full of chocolate cake and a Oreo-like frosting layer. Decadent and delicious.

The salted caramel bars are the star of the show for me. Gooey salted caramel on top of a chewy shortbread (I think, it’s just mouthwatering), with globs of it on top. It’s my favorite thing right now.

I am a marketing rep for a small company and have had The Baking Bird prepare everything from cookies, cake pops, muffins and their delicious bars for client offices I visit daily. Most recently they helped me by preparing boxes of cake pops I dropped off at offices for our Breast Cancer Awareness campaign. Not only were the cake pops absolutely delicious, but they were beautiful (decorated in pink) and prepared in a cute box that was easy for me to deliver to the various offices I went to. At least once a week, we frequent the Baking Bird, sometimes the first customers of the day since we work night shift. I'm the creature of habit and my husband is the adventurous one (he always lets me taste some though)! Everything we've gotten we have loved and we always make sure to give feedback on the new things.
