Came in to escape the cold on a winter day and was treated with wonderfully warm service! The food here is homemade with fresh ingredients, the service is friendly and the atmosphere is homely and welcoming. I can’t wait to come back! I tried Morocho (Ecuadorian corn drink) for the first time here, and it was sooo sooo good! The sweet warm drink was well spiced with hints of star anise, cinnamon and clove and the bits of corn meal in it gave it a good texture and made it quite filling. The oat meal drink (Quaker) is also really yummy - not what I expected with its pineapple and passion fruit flavours, but I highly recommend this cold and refreshing drink if you like tropical flavours!

I was looking for a local breakfast spot and I came across this place. I called in my order and the lady that answered seemed to not be so happy it was Monday, for lack of better words lol. I ordered the short stack pancakes with a side of home fries and turkey bacon and she said it would take 15 minutes. When I arrived I parked nearby. I walked in and told the lady that I was there for a pick up and my name. She seemed to be rushed or overwhelmed. She said it would be $13.06 and I paid with my credit card and left. When I tried the food the pancakes were tasty, the home fries needed a little salt and the turkey bacon wasn't too bad. All in all I had an ok experience.

Their breakfast platters are definitely decent size portions. Pricing seems about the average you would pay for a platter or sandwich at similar places. I ordered the jersey hobo sandwich which had home fries in it and it was ok... I probably should have tried a basic egg and cheese to see how it compares to others. It's definitely worth a try and the coffee was pretty good.

Came in expecting to find Portuguese pastries and galao (Portuguese latte). Instead encountered a fancy grill joint. Got a galao, and asked for 2 eggs with Taylor ham on a roll. Should have noticed there were no prices on the menu but I am seldom sticker shocked and will pay a premium for tasty food and overall experience. I will take my business to another local place or bagel joint. $10 for a standard breakfast sandwich with no side, packed in foil is unacceptable. The $4 for large coffee /latte I can probably justify to a degree. The system “was down” so they couldn’t give me change back so I reluctantly left a $1 tip. They will not get business from me again. 3 stars on taste and ambiance/decor, but I don’t place value on decor and loud electronic rave music at 8:15am on Saturday. This is a neighborhood place, in a working class neighborhood and not even on a main artery of town. Not...
