I am genuinely so confused how this place has 4.7 stars. I never like to complain at a restaurant but our visit was absolutely absurd.

First, we got miso soup with our meals and it just was not good. It basically tasted like seaweed water and all of us sent it back. I asked for the onion soup instead and it was basically water too so we just forfeited the soup and still had to pay for them. Our poor server was struggling between trying to help us out and listening to what her management was saying to do.

The sushi was okay. Nothing absolutely breathtaking, but not bad. It wasn’t served with wasabi or ginger which was odd but no big deal. My hibachi dinner was where things really went south. I ordered the chicken & steak combo and asked for my steak medium-rare and I kid you not it was raw. Basically just browned but still cold, I asked our server if I could just be charged for a chicken hibachi since I took all of the raw steak off my plate and her manager (or the owner, whoever the lady is) told her no so she took the same steak and recooked it. I’m no health inspector but I think that’s some sort of code violation. It was still raw when they tried to give it back to me on the same plate they took it on, and they still made me pay for it.

Our server was so shaken and I feel for her. We watched the manager scold her for things that were no fault of her own and it was just ridiculous.

There were also boxes randomly piled into the dining room, almost overflowing into our booth. Apparently the owners kid runs around and antagonizes unhappy customers as well? I’m confused and disturbed about the whole experience to say the least.

We asked for the check and it was $100 for 3 people. Honestly just sort of absurd given everything that went wrong and the portions considering if my steak hadn’t been raw, there were like 5-8 pieces total.

Do not recommend. I would give 0...

I've been wanting to try this place for so long. I live about an hour away and my friend and I decided to go here for lunch. She's never tried Japanese food before and the rating for this place was so high, I thought I'd finally introduce her to some incredible food. I was so disappointed and embarrassed.

I first have to say the woman at the desk was so extremely kind and sweet. (I tried checking my receipt for her name to give her credit but it wasn't listed.) I added an extra star because she was so informative with the menu, very patient and helpful. This is not a reflection of the staff whatsoever.

The ramen was bland; severely bland. I should have bought a ramen packet from walmart for added flavor. It was like chicken stock, water and salt. The egg was so overdone the yolk was crumbly. The mochi was hard and chunky when you chewed it; I don't know if the dough wasn't fresh or what was wrong with it, but neither one of us could finish it. The sushi was actually good; the chicken hibachi was bland and the rice was again tasteless. Their meat quality is actually pretty good, most of the flavor comes from the meat.

This place has so much potential; I wish they'd hire a chef with some passion for authentic Japanese cuisine! The menu has a lot of options; but judging by the amount we ordered of their most popular menu items, we were...

Today our service was absolutely. We arrived and was seated waited for 8 min watched another table just get there and were asked what they wanted to drink before we were even greeted. I am pregnant so I ordered a cooked roll with when we received it the roll was raw told our server I can not eat raw fish she sated she would get that taken off. The manager refused to take it off ticket . Roll was not eaten informed her I was not paying for that roll she stated she would not remove it informed her well if I have to call the police to handle it because I don’t want it to turn aroud on me and say I walked out with out paying she told me she was not scared of the police to call them then changed her mind to this time she will take it I informed I am not risking my baby’s life for eating something that is raw when it should of been cooked and I was very polite about everything she was very rude tried avoiding me . I use to go all the time to this restaurant but now I will never go back to this restaurant. The way I was treated was completely unacceptable and no customer service should ever be handled the way it was handled. I feel very bad for my server she tried to handle the situation but...

This was a great experience. The staff was super friendly and food was good as well. The menu is a bit small if you don't like sushi though. They have staples to fall back on like ramen and hibachi so I still had a great experience. The food was good but the fried cheesecake was fantastic. Staff was attentive but not hovering, knowledgeable, and personable. They we're extremely patient with how long we took to eat also. May be our new staple..

Went for a birthday party. We had a table of 6 and they did good bringing our food out at about the same time. They had so many different options to pick from! I'm not big on raw fish and I was really pleased with the amount of sushi that had cooked meat in them. Everything that we got looked amazing. I got the Missouri rolls and I highly recommend them!!
