Racist/Prejudiced Worker - Do Not Support This Business!
My family and I recently attempted to dine here but had to leave within 10 minutes due to the incredibly rude and microaggressive behavior of a blonde woman working the Monday morning shift. From the moment we walked in, we were ignored when we greeted her with a “good morning” and subjected to disdainful stares. When we asked where we should sit, she scoffed and displayed a nasty attitude when we left the door open to pull a stroller through the small doorway.
Her rudeness escalated when we requested a highchair; she sarcastically barked at us, questioning how many hands we thought she had. Additionally, we noticed she moved between touching chairs, dirty dishes, and then drinks and food without washing her hands. Flies were visible inside the establishment, landing on the displayed food, despite the door being closed.
As a Caribbean American not from the Virgin Islands, it is disheartening to be treated with microaggressions by some white workers who seem to think people like us don’t belong. From the moment we walked in, it was clear she was intentionally rude, making us feel unwelcome and pushing us out.
Businesses like this should not exist on the island, and workers in the hospitality industry who do not enjoy serving people should find another line of work. It’s ironic to be on vacation and looked down upon by a bartender. I have traveled all over the world, and this was the worst service I have ever received, prompting the quickest exit I’ve ever made from an establishment due to bad service.
Do not give your money to racist establishments like this one. The service was awful, and it was clear the woman was giving us attitude and microaggressions based on racial prejudice. This needs to be addressed immediately, and the employee should be held accountable for...
Read moreAfter a rough day a travel issues, we slept in and had no groceries. I'd read in a forum that this place served their full menu, including breakfast all day, so we headed out for late breakfast. I'm not sure who the guy was cooking but everything was aces! I'm not a fan of their sausage gravy, heavy on the sausage, low on the gravy. But besides that everything was delicious and possibly the best meal we had while on the island. Some of the best scrambled eggs I've had since my mom cooked me breakfast, and she had her own restaurant too. It's a small building by the marina. Once we parked we weren't sure which way to head, luckily someone walking by pointed us to head left out of the parking lot. They've made excellent use of the space with several high top tables, and a bar. I will say, how the food was prepared was a lot of the success, others have commented about poor experiences when someone other than the owner is cooking. Not sure who was cooking that day, but everything was cooked perfectly! We were certainly glad for their late breakfast and that we added them as a stop! Wish we'd...
Read moreWe were meeting up at Compass Point to take a boat out and we’re recommended to get breakfast there before hand. What a great recommendation! Breakfast was excellent and the bloody Mary’s were spicy with a home pickled green bean that I would’ve loved to get more of! Prices were reasonable for healthy portions that could’ve easily been shared. I had the hash and eggs with corned beef, my daughter had a sandwich and my friend had a scramble, all were very tasty. I will definitely be back, make sure you bring cash or Venmo- no cards. Also, the place is small, be...
