Don't go to this restaurant if you're gluten free, low carb, or the kind of traveler who gravitates only to familiar dining experiences when overseas. Do come here if you want a dining experience of personal attention, excellent choices and culinary gifts direct from a local chef.  We were hankering for local seafood done in the local style and boy did we luck out!  Chef Sweet Lou and her cohort literally pulled the fish on hand, explaining the bone situation represented by each; confirmed the degree of frying we were looking for and whether the gravy should be on top or on the side, and explained that the lobster we ordered would be out of the shell by the time we saw it next.  A medical procedure couldn't have offered better informed consent.  The subsequent meal was heavenly.  The fish (triggerfish, aka Old Wife) was moist, bursting with freshness, with a mild tomato- onion gravy and two yummy sides of which our favorite was the local polenta with okra, whose local name we lamentably missed. The lobster had indeed been painstakingly removed from shell and mixed with sauteed onions: mouth watering.  The restaurant appears to transform into a social club as the evening progresses, judging from the gradual accumulation of local friends. No loud music at this joint though, just a couple of muted TV screens and the sounds of the fans blowing the sweet night breeze and joyful conversations through the windows.  Wonderful meal, wonderful window into a Saturday night in Bovoni.

OMG... The food here is ridiculous, better than Mama use to make (sorry Mama) . If you want authentic St.Thomian food, find your way to the Seaside Inn. The place needs some work (aesthetically) and you have to wait for your food to be cooked of course because you select your own fish and tell those gifted women what you want on your plate. While you wait for your food, visit the bar, hmmm delicious. Now once you get your food and savor the delight on your plate while enjoying the fresh Sea breeze, the place could be transformed into anything you want it to be cause the food is that Good. I had fried Yellowtail fish with sweet potato, fungi, rice, and veggies. I sincerely enjoyed every bit of my food. Thank you Ladies, you know what you are doing in that kitchen. BTW.. the aesthetical part was due to the hurricane a few years ago and some folks are still working on getting their...

I love the old school vibes, the music, they really take their time with the food and you can feel the love they put into it. This place is such a GEM 💎 I absolutely love eating at Sea Side Inn. It is my favorite restaurant and my go to at least twice...
