I called ahead to confirm that this bakery had croissants avaliable before arriving. I walked in and nobody was at the desk so I waited by the register for about 3-5 minutes until another man walked in and was instantly greeted and provided with service. I felt ignored so I spoke out to put in my order. I ordered a single croissant and the woman said she recognized me from the phone call. I was charged 6 dollars for a croissant which I thought was overpriced but ordered anyways as a treat for my husband who just underwent a delicate surgical procedure. After ordering, the worker left the counter to what i belived was to pack my croissant but came back empty handed and began taking the other man's order. The worker checked out the man, bagged his goods and sent him on his way. Another man walked in and was instantly serviced and got his order taken while I was still waiting for a single croissant. He was checked out, given his coffee and desserts while I continued to wait. After both men where served and enjoying there food, I was finally given my order and sent on my way. When I got home I opened the bag to serve my husband and noticed I was given a smashed croissant sandwich slathered with butter, ham, and swiss cheese . My husband was unable to eat the sandwich since it was now a heavy meal and Is lactose intolerant. Keep in mind this bakery sells both plain croissants, and croissant sandwiches which where both on display in the glass case. In conclusion, I felt discriminated since I felt as if the worker prioritized the two Caucasian males while i was made to wait till the end even though i was there first. In addition, I was overcharged and given an order I did not ask for. This grand opening was a disappointment, there...

Read moreOld Times Bakery has moved! They used to be on Pacific Ave, just up the hill from downtown. I hope they do well in this new location. I had never been to the old location, so was excited to try it out. WOW 😮 The cinnamon roll here was AWESOME! Generous amount of icing and it was was so soft and fluffy! Not trying to yuck anyone else's yum, but if the cinnamon roll is crisp in any way, I don't want it. They also had a variety of other sweet and savory goods to choose from, but all I can think about weeks later is that...
