As a newcomer to the Harrisburg area, I have been sampling many of the coffee shops around town. I have been looking for quality of brew, relaxing atmosphere, cheerful customer service, reliable internet, plenty of electrical plugs, and a convenient location to other areas that I frequent. The Cracked Pot exceeds all my expectations! They have plenty of parking and a lovely outdoor seating area that is covered. When I visited, every table had a tiny vase of fresh wildflowers. Their upstairs area is a dedicated kid-friendly area complete with big, open windows and a variety of toys. This keeps the spacious main level quiet for adult customers. Also, their iced coffee does not taste old, which is something I have experienced at other coffee shops. Their coffee is sourced from Passenger Coffee Roasters based in Lancaster and they bake all of their own treats in-house. Despite being busy, the shop did not feel crowded in the middle of the day. I thought it was a bit long of a wait. The wait was worth it, the sandwiches arrived hot with a more than ample side of chips. Sandwiches were delicious. Never saw the server again, I could have used another iced tea, again tea was nicely brewed. We will return and try...
Read moreThe Cracked Pot Coffee Shop was such a lovely stop on our road trip. They had a great selection of pastries that looked and tasted homemade, and the whole space gave off warm, cozy, homey vibes. The bathrooms were clean, and the café itself was spacious, perfect for relaxing or getting some work done.
It actually felt a bit like a better version of Starbucks with plenty of people on their laptops and a calm atmosphere. The only small downside was that the iced coffee containers didn’t have labels, which made it a little tricky to know what was what. Adding labels would be a simple touch that could elevate the experience even more.
Overall, I highly recommend this spot. It’s unique, inviting, and definitely worth...
