Visited Stauffers in Mechanicsburg 4/10/25 after purchasing my new home last October. Now that growing season is in full gear I decided to make this beautiful place my destination point for creating tree privacy between myself and the home next door. First and foremost, I fortunately happened to be there when āDonā in nursery was there. As I awaited for Don I couldnāt help but overhear the expert advice he was providing to the customer before me. I immediately knew I was in the right hands. When it was my turn we walked outside to review some Arborvitaeās and a nice size Snow Mountain Weeping Cherry Tree. At the end of the day I purchased 11 in total plus some fertilizer he recommended. Quite frankly I was blown away at his knowledge of not only these species but all the others I inquired about before committing to these. Iām 65 and have been a customer at too many to count retail places in many states during my lifetime but this customer service experience was exceptional. What a thorough education I got about my purchase! He even wrote things down on paper to take along with me about the initial care after planting and recommended care and maintenance into the future! At no time did I ever feel rushed and he made me feel like I was his only customer. What a phenomenal employee and a specially gifted person with a GREAT personality! Stauffers corporate, are you listening? I hope you realize just how special and knowledgeable Don is to your organization. No college could ever teach what this man has to offer. Heās making you money while simultaneously winning over customers who will want to come back and buy from you time and again. GREAT job Don - Iām so thankful our paths have crossed - for many...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat plants but overpriced in comparison to other local owned nurseries. I usually donāt ever leave bad reviews but this disturbed me to the point of doing so. I went there yesterday to purchase both perennials and a few annuals. I asked a staff member,, an older, smaller, short haired woman for assistance in choosing a few sun hardy annuals. She was quite pompous and seemed irritated at my request. She started spouting off genus names of plants as she rudely pointed out I had chosen several perennials in my cart. Which I was well aware of, maybe due to the big signs on them when I chose them. I swear this woman was angry I bothered her. She marched me into the center interior of the store and brusquely pointed out three, with their genus names. All the time, and Iām not over exaggerating this, with a literal snarl on her face. If she hates her job this much she might want to find a profession with limited human interaction or just stick to behind the scenes with her interaction being limited to the plants. Next time I will go to a family owned...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreRecently, I left a review regarding how pleasant and actually magical our experiences are every time we go shopping here and meet up with Jayna!. Iām not sure whatās happening at Stauffers lately, but more of the Team seem to have the same customer service, knowledge, and passion as we experienced previously with Jayna!!! More to the point, when I ask for help, they actually seem excited and enthusiastic to assist my ventures So I am giving a shout out to two women who make it hard for me not to come back at least five times a week hahaha. Eunice & Chelsea, thank you! Thank you for being helpful & very very knowledgeable! But mostly thank you for being so sweet and patient and really working with me to make the right choices. Sometimes I get stressed not knowing what to pick for my garden and you guys help me relax and make all the right choices⦠so much so that I have people constantly stopping by to tell me how much they and their family enjoy my displays of color.! You women are amazing and you make me shop just a little too much.𤣠see...
