I was already annoyed by having to walk in front of fifty people and then waiting several minutes before someone realized I was standing in front of the counter. First thing they said is that they only fill their own bottles. I would have understood a surcharge, warning about it not fitting the filling equipment, etc, for bringing in other bottles, etc. I really wanted to enjoy the place, the large selection, and I really enjoy craft beers. But I walked out - I already get enough grief for having several growlers in the house and I am not planning on collecting...
Read moreThis place is fantastic for selection and giving me a chance to sample a wide variety of beers. The staff always have done a great job at steering me to new things when I'm not sure what to get, as well.
Points off for ambiance. Harsh light in a concrete room. I usually just grab a growler and go, though, so not that big a deal. They also have a tiny patio where you can sit and drink or front.

Read moreFor food pairings all of the staff is good but I recommend Cortney. Tonight we were having soft shelled crab BLTs and I asked her for a beer to go with that. Her choice was perfect and not something I would have thought of. She picked a local amber ale that was an accent and perfect accompaniment to the food. And that was not the first time. I have asked her many times for her recommendations and they have been spot on.
