Acropolis Pizza — Restaurant in Upper Darby

My office recently moved me to the area and I have eaten lunch at Acropolis a number of times. As someone who has eaten (on average) a cheesesteak a week for over 25 years, I can honestly say their cheesesteaks are really good. Then I tried their chicken cheesesteak, which was one of the best I have had. Many just use pressed chicken slices, but Acropolis uses true cut-up chicken breast, which takes it to another level. And they use a fare amount of cheese, which ensures it's no dry.

So... 2/2 great sandwiches, so I next tried the Italian sausage, meatball, and lets not forget the pizza. All exceptionally good. I started buying extras for co-workers, because something this good needs to be shared.

I was originally just looking for a place close by to get gas during my lunch break and stopped in... and I'm extremely happy I did. The staff are extremely friendly, huge local sports fans, and I highly recommend you...

This is our go-to pizza delivery place. It's not on par with Nomad or anything, but it's pretty great for delivery. The crust is has a nice chewiness to it and the sauce is nicely flavored if you go for that over white. My favorite is their Greek White. (Confusingly there is also a Grecian that has tomato and onion.) There's an occasional misstep, like olives that tasted like the tin they came from, and roasted red peppers that forgot to drain so made the pizza sloppy with oil, but for the most part we've been very happy. My family & I ordered from here tonight. Ordered the nachos. This is what we got. $10+ for about 12 nachos in this bowl! Seriously! I have gotten them before & they did not look like this. Very very disappointed & most likely not ordering from here anymore. Also to add duting this time wouldnt you be having your drivers wearing at least masks? Nope. Very concerning. Thanks acropolis for the half bowl of nachos that is not enough for my kids. *Edited to add...green peppers instead of jalapenos? Come on they smell...
