Paul Revere Pizza House — Restaurant in Lansdowne

So, I came in tonight bc I felt my uncle craving cheesesteak and my dad wanting pizza🍕. This place was my dad's FAVORITE place since we lived in Parkview Court (circa1983/4ish). He loved their peperoni pizza with anchovies. I know ANCHOVIES??!! Well, like father like daughter, I love me some anchovies. I haven't been here since my uncle passed away 2 years ago. When he moved here from LA, I brought him here bc my dad(his brother LOVED IT so much. Turns out, HE LOVED their cheesesteak!! He liked his with provolone instead of American.

On the eve of new year eve, I found myself sitting here alone, enjoying both pizza and cheesesteak. I know I'm not really alone bc they were with me all day today. That's why I'm in here.

Paul Revere Pizza House has been on my family's table for years. When I took my first bite, I was catapulted to the first time I ever ate anchovies - it was from my dad's pizza here. Terrible service! Steven at the register is beyond rude. I ordered in person and was one of 2 people sitting waiting for my food… which he was aware of. After 40 minutes I finally went up to ask if the order was ready after patiently waiting and he said yeah it’s been here with an attitude. Not once did he let me know it was sitting there ready for over 20 minutes! I confronted him and asked why he didn’t tell me and all I got was an attitude back.. No apology.

Several months passed and I came back again and yet again another incident with Steven! I came in at 10:31 to order and I was told they already cleaned up the kitchen and can’t take orders when they don’t close until 11.. but the online service was allowing me to place an order. Apparently they stop taking orders at 10:30 but 1 minute after and you wouldn’t accommodate a customer who has been coming to this location for over 10 years. Miscommunication on the phone with the order which is perfectly fine because we are human beings. My issue was with the guy on the phones, very curt. I’ll still give a a perfect review because the pizza really is top notch and I honestly appreciated how the staff handled the situation (except the one guy). Mistakes happen but being rude is a choice. Overall I suggest everyone to keep ordering from this place because they are consistent with their product and the guys cooking seem to take pride in what they do. Owner was pretty cool as well, seems to get hospitality which is appreciated. Great location as well. You can park while you wait which is nice. Place is very clean as well.
