Asian Family's No.1 — Restaurant in Upper Darby

I've not given a review before even thought I've eaten countless times from Asian Family's No. 1. I personally love the food I get from them, however, I agree wholeheartedly that the younger brother for whatever reason is lacking basic customer services skills and basic public interaction skills. He barely makes an attempt to be polite much less friendly; which is fine with me since I don't need you to be friendly with me, however, being nice to your customers help you keep them. AND it would be nice (and imo) wise for him to learn these basics. The older brother is very professional and friendly and their parents are sweet and friendly too. When I order my food, before going to pick my order up in the stated "20 minutes", I've learned not to go in 20 minutes, because I've been burned before by the "20 minutes" pickup. I time my orders and give myself an extra 15-20 minutes before going to pick up, which works out well for me. A few times even after I extended the pickup time on my end, I still had to wait a few minutes for my order. Frustrating much? As I said I love the food I get from this place and the older brother and the parents are very friendly, otherwise, I would look elsewhere. I am giving them 4.0 stars based on my experiences, however, they need to talk with the younger brother to see if they can up his customer service skills and work more inline with the time frame that they quote...

When they originally opened the food was awesome and the service was great. As of late both areas have dropped in quality. Some friends came from out of town and wanted to really try them so I took them over there today and immediately I was greeted by the youngest son with just a complete attitude for no reason (I guess he didn't like the fact that he had to stop eating his soup and get off his laptop to wait on us) anyhow my husband asked him a question about the lunch special and he was very rude with his response also never making eye contact. Food was subpar lacking flavor like when they first opened ,it was all very bland this go round. I definitely won't be back and will be telling friends about my experience so they avoid this place. It's a shame because I really like the parents that work here but the youngest sons attitude was definitely the icing on the cake of not returning. Just some advice, Remove the young brother as the first face customers deal with when they walk in he is going to be the reason your business declines rapidly. He has a disgusting attitude and needs a reality check, the customers are who keep you...

Salam .I want Muslim community to know.I ordered the food for takeout over the phone told me 20 min. I get there like 30 min later . And my food was even cooked. Than tell me I have to wait, don’t even apologize for late. I wait another 10 min . I get home and I see my food is not right. I called and said I order chicken fried rice with curry chicken you put plain rice. He said ok wait for the guy who took your ordered and I over heard on the phone they saying oh that guy was rushing for the food he called . So he answered the phone and I said I ordered chicken fried rice with curry chicken you gave me plain rice, he said we didn’t charge you for fried rice, not even saying we made mistake ok next time won’t happen I’m sorry instead of that saying that I did not ordered fried rice. Than I said is that how you treat customers and don’t even apologize for mistakes He said he did. I’m like how arguing with me. All I’m saying I know he serves Muslim community but it dose not mean he don’t have to keep up the service good as usual like other people do. Just wanted to people...
