I ordered Attieke with lamb for $24.00, along with a side order of fish. However, the server informed me that my total was $31.00. The wait for the food was longer than expected, and the air conditioning was off, making the atmosphere uncomfortable.
When the food finally arrived, I found the Attieke to be dry, and it didn’t come with any cucumbers, tomatoes, or salad. The pepper sauce was both overly salty and watery, and the lamb consisted mostly of bones. The side order of fish was sliced in half and fried, giving the impression that it was a whole piece. The owner claimed that the price had changed, but it differed from what was listed on the menu and what the server had initially quoted, which felt dishonest.
When it came time to pay, the server raised the total to $42.00, the owner explaining that the plain Attieke was $24.00 and did not include any meat. He lied that the lamb and fish were considered separate orders. Terrible management and nasty food overly priced. I don't recommend this place, save yourself the...
Read moreI just left this place one hour ago. All I have to say is ……. I will be back !!! In my Schwarzenegger voice , this is my second time eating here . The first being over a year ago but the chicken , it distinctively stayed in my mind . So I pulled the trigger paid the price it is on the pricey end BUT it is worth the price . 95% of restaurants I frequent are high priced with low quality food or small portions . Let not BEGIN on customer service . As a foreigner let’s be honest my ppl need work in that area . These people were courteous attentive and the man stopped what he was doing to help us. Customer service was a ten. Food was a 10. I hope they keep it up they will see me again , price and all idc like I said I will pay for good customer service and food easily here take my right kidney jk but yeah my hubby who is not easily impressed tore...
Read moreExcellent. Excellent. Excellent. I live out in Wilmington DE, so we don't get many options or choices when it comes to African food, or I believe more specifically Liberian cuisine. I got the general staple Cassava Leaf and it was excellent. I had a very nice conversation with the owner and head chef and to my surprise, found out they serve brown rice here!!!
I'm always on the level when it comes to my blood sugar, so this is awesome for me that I can enjoy this food with rice that's better on my blood sugar, huge plus for them over the others. I'll be heading there very soon, as I work at Prep Financial in Yeadon, a tax office.
I'm always looking for ethnic cuisine, and there's a some steep competition in the Commonwealth around this area. This is one spot in Lansdowne that you definitely don't...
