Wawa — Restaurant in Upper Darby

I stopped here for a simple salad and the second I ordered I heard the guy behind the counter say I'm sick of these salads no more salads. When I ask him were there any more salads he started to get smart with me and then another young lady working with him said you have to go pay for your order and then we'll make your food. They were both trying to cover up for the fact that I heard him complain about making salads. You cannot complain about making the food your supposed to be making while at work in front of a client...I felt embarrassed for ordering. Instead of anyone apologizing they rudely dismiss me to the counter to pay for my food. They need to train their employees and they need better management as the store inside and outside looks filthy there's trash everywhere and the service is just bad. I love Wawa but this is my last time...

I had a terrible experience at this location last night. My sandwich was soggy, and both the quesadilla and grilled cheese were sloppily made. I honestly don’t even know how you mess those up that badly. What bothered me even more was the behavior behind the deli. The employees were loud, unprofessional, and downright disrespectful. I overheard them making fun of a customer who didn’t speak English. When he said he didn’t understand, they laughed at him. It’s one thing to enjoy your job and have fun, but mocking someone—especially for a language barrier—is unacceptable. As someone who sees the impacts of discrimination daily, it was incredibly disheartening to witness this kind of ignorance, especially coming from other minorities. I came to wawa right after a long day from work. I went into the Wawa at 69th Street to order a honey turkey Panini, I was so excited to eat it but when I came home to open the box. I was fooled because I bite into the sandwich where the only thing on there was bacon cheese and spinach. Crazy thing is that they didn't put no effort in remaking the second sandwich or even a sincere apology to me. Been to this Wawa plenty of time but this might be my last time coming to this Wawa.
