Too hit or miss with selection. They shouldn't be down to 3 or 4 varieties mid-am when they close at 3 or so. If you close at 3, you need to find a way to keep inventory full or near full as everyone isn't lining up immediately after opening especially on weekends. I have been in there with 4 selections left, 2 of which contain coconut, which I enjoy, but isn't a go to for many people. In addition, price point for a donut that is above average. That is not to say they aren't good with interesting flavors, but they certainly aren't exceptional taste wise or better yet consistent to justify prices. I.E. the Nutella filled is poorly done with what seems like half a container of Nutella. M&M's/candy topped are very inconsistent- some might literally have a few whereas others are covered as should be. Point being, some flavors just aren't executed well. But others, like cannoli filled and basics are done much better. Lastly, shop atmosphere leaves something to be desired. I understand the dinner-esque maybe 50's feel, but it falls short of being more warm and welcoming. All in all, worth a try every now and again, but nothing that would be a consistent must...
Read moreOriginally I gave them 2 stars. This review is about their business practices not the quality of their donut. I'm so disappointed! Website says they are closing at 3. I got there at 12 and they were closed. I understand that they sold out but they need to do a better job of estimating or roll up their sleeves and make more! I can't drive for 20 minutes and simply take a chance if they are going to be open or not! I'm disappointed because I was so excited and I have been talking to all my friends about them. I will give them another chance but I am not going earlier.
Update: I went back another Saturday. There were plenty of donuts, and the selection was great. I tried a vanilla with chocolate frosting and it was outstanding! The donut was the right amount of firm but moist, and the frosting was perfect. We also tried a raspberry filled, a Nutella filled, and a classic glazed. I have to say that they were all exceptional! Some of the best I ever had! They are not perfectly round, and the frosting is not shiny like the mass produced, but that's some of the beauty of them! When it comes to taste, Naz-O-Nut has earned my 5 stars now! Great job! Keep on...
Read moreWe have been here a handful of times in the last month or two. It was nice to discover a local donut shop within walking distance selling fresh donuts. Although on the more expensive side, the quality was good and the donuts themselves are big compared to store bought donuts. Initially, our experience was positive with their yeast donuts being some of the best in the area in my opinion.
Unfortunately, our last 3 visits have been pretty disappointing, each time receiving multiple day old stale donuts. This morning was again another example of this. In my opinion, there is nothing inherently wrong with yesterday’s donuts, I personally wouldn’t seek them out, but selling them as fresh is dishonest and causes trust issues with your customers. Other bakeries in the area will inform customers that certain items are from the previous day and offer these at half price. Customers want transparency! Customers want fresh donuts! Naz-O-Nut, I WANT you to succeed! I don’t want to get my donuts from the grocery store. When fresh, your donuts are better in every way, but I feel like we have trust issues. Don’t...
