We went to La Casetta Italian Bistro last night with friends. It was our first time there and even though we have heard great things about this place, we were still amazed at how delicious all of our meals were. I had the "chicken special" which consisted of tri-colored rigatoni in a garlic cream sauce, topped with chicken cutlets which were topped with roasted red peppers, spinach and mozzarella cheese. So good. And so big that I brought half of it home and had it tonight for dinner. My wife had ravioli stuffed with spinach and cheese. That was so good that she ordered it again tonight for takeout. So in essence we had dinner there two nights in a row! Our friends equally enjoyed their meals as well. Kiddos to the Chef!! We had dessert which was a cannoli dip and tiramisu. Again, delicious!! To call this place a hidden gem would be an understatement. The staff there couldn't have been more friendly and attentive as well. Needless to say we will be back. And back we went. Another outstanding meal!! I went with the Chicken Parm and my wife got the Chicken Special which consisted of grilled chicken over pasta which was topped with asparagus and mozzarella cheese. The sauce was a combo of a brusetta/Alfredo sauce. Had tiramisu and creme brulee for dessert to cap it off we basically closed the place due to the three bottles of wine that we shared with friends. Can't wait...

We originally drove by La Casetta when they opened on Tuesday, and between it being slow at the time and the restaurant being in a small house, we skipped and went elsewhere. Fast forward two Days. We called for a reservation at 715pm and was offered a 745 outside or 815 option. Around 8pm we were seated outside which was fabulous. The wait staff was very kind but service staff was very busy due to a large party being seated plus 3 or 4 other tables In a 20 minute window. The food was very good. My kids had the chicken parm with garlic and olive oil pasta. As a New Yorker and having grown up in Central Jersey, I've had many good parms, but this one was the best in a long time. I had the Veal Ripieno which was fabulous, and a refreshing spin for an original Italian dish. The house dressing on their house salad was also a surprise and refreshing. For dessert, we had the cheese cake (NY style and excellent) and the creme Brulee. Both were very good but the creme brulee was rushed. It was very sweet because it wasn't bruleed enough and/or had too much sugar poured on top. It appears that La Casetta is a local hidden gem. For NY style Italian Cuisine, I highly...

WOW! La Casetta really is the BEST meal I’ve had down the shoreline! A cute homey & high quality feel the second you walk in. Everyone is so friendly & our waitress Betsy was phenomenal! Now— onto the food— absolutely incredible! I’ve been looking for a seafood pasta dish that has subtle seafood, creamy sauce, and refreshing for a summer meal and my Scallop alla Gorgonzola (pictured) was PERFECT! The homemade pasta, fresh sea scallops and delicious creamy sauce was EVERYTHING & MORE!!! Large portions, attentive staff, salad (1st course) with house dressing are all 10/10! Pics include Crème Brûlée, Chicken Parm with blush sauce, and La Casetta Chicken. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a date night, family outing, or special dining occasion! BYOB, reservation highly recommended, and just entrees (w salad) came out to around $30 per. I will absolutely be going back (soon) and telling everyone I know!...

What a surprise this place was! Went here with my in-laws last night for dinner and it was excellent! The outdoor seating was set up nicely with plenty of room between tables. The wait staff was super friendly, and following all state mandated precautions. Our appatisers were top-notch. We shared a plate of muscles, and another app, but I didn't try it. I got the chicken Ala Oscar... Amazing! Homemade noodles, delicious chicken... Everything in it was really fresh. My wife got a pasta special with scallops, my father in law got veal parm, and my mother in law got a different chicken dish. Everyone raved about their order. We even got desert... Excellent creme brulee! From start to finish, one of the best meals I've had in a long time!

We decided to stop here to celebrate our anniversary based off reviews. Overall, our experience was good! The main dishes were generous, fresh, and tasty. Things to note for my foodie friends out there--The pasta sauces that they use are more soupy and not gravy in consistency, which I didn't mind because it felt light and refreshing. The only thing we didn't love were the bread and salad. The bread was VERY plain and not a good Italian crusty bread. The house salad was gross. It was some sort of mayo dressing, which is surprising for Italian food. If these two small things get changed, I'd say that I'd love this place more. Great atmosphere and very friendly service. We sat outside and had a beautiful night.
