This place has exploded in popularity over the last few years. Now, at the end of 2015, it's almost always standing room only while waiting for your table, and it's definitely worth the wait.
They are limited in space by the size of the building, but they've done what they can to offer more table space- they took out the counter that held the cash register, they introduced outdoor seating and then expanded the outdoor seating), and they've moved some parking around to accommodate lucky dining-right-now diners, or the slightly less lucky waiting-to-dine diners.
Sometimes, your best option is to order it to go. Hope you're super hungry, because the portions are MUCH larger than the price would suggest. Grab some extra napkins, thank me later.
The staff is always very friendly, and some of them are rather playful when I attempt to communicate in Spanish; a couple have taken the time to correct my poor attempts at speaking their native language, in a friendly, polite, helpful way.
Overall, it's pretty obvious that the owners and the staff truly care about offering a great experience for a much better than fair price; business growth like they've experienced doesn't just happen by accident.

Read moreFirst time visiting. Wasn't sure what to think when we pulled up into the small parking lot out front. But, being from Dallas, Texas, I already know to never judge a restaurant by it's parking lot. I have been to several little places all around Dallas. And I didn't let the it's tiny interior fool me. At first, our server didn't seem very friendly. However, we noticed that he was one of three people working, so, that explained it all. Now. The food...wow! This place has the best Mexican food I have eaten since moving to the Midwest. The guacamole was just like my Momma's. Chunky and tasty. And my tacos took my taste buds on a joyride. They were just like the street tacos back home. Perfect! Only one complaint. The hostess brought us chips and a variety of sauces. We had no clue what was in each bottle. (I suggest maybe labeling them or just telling your customers what they are.) But, the salsa was amazing! I will be telling everyone I know about your place. And I will be back the next time I am visiting. Keep up...
Read moreRestaurant review It only took 2 more years for me to come back to this restaurant. There are a couple of other restaurants now in town that can give this place a run for the money in terms of authentic mexican food. They have traditional pozole and the food appears to be home made and made fresh. I ended up getting the three steak taco meal with spanish rice and refried beans. I can't say that it was the best tacos I have had, but I think it was my fault for getting them with flour tortilla instead of corn tortilla. They are garnished well with ontions, cilantro, cheese, and tomatoes which goes well. They still give you the multiple complimentary salsa with tortilla chips which is a plus!
Pros: Inexpensive, traditional Mexican food, free salsa and chips
Cons: Lack of parking, salty food, and super strong drinks
Hidden deals: Check out their special board when you enter. The mango margarita was only four dollars
Health code rating: C. The menu was sticky in the table a sticky. This usually...
