Piato Catering — Restaurant in Urbana

Something of a local favorite, depending on who you ask. I've had the food truck probably a dozen times in the last few years. Ive had the Italian beef, the dancing pig, the fish sandwich and the southwest wrap, I've also had their chips w/dip. Amongst people I've spoken to, the wrap is very popular.

The food is decent. Exactly what you'd expect from a food truck, quick and edible. My overall experience would be "Hit and miss". Sometimes I've had a very flavorful meal, and other times it's tasted bland, as though someone may have forgotten to season the meat. Their French onion dip is by far my favorite thing they sell. The chips are a more artisan approach, I believe they are made from scratch. So, if you wind up with a batch that wasn't really salted and they forgot to give you your dip (this happens so frequently I've taken to checking before leaving with my food) then you've got these so-so potato skins just sort of sitting there. These bad boys just aren't the same without their dipping buddy, so make sure you get the dip!

The crew is ALWAYS friendly and quick. Great service and always apologetic if they mess something up. I've never had a negative customer service experience with this truck.

I had a disappointing experience with this coffee shop recently. I originally placed an order for coffee with the expectation of pick-up, but later reached out to see if delivery was possible. The response I received was shockingly rude and dismissive. The employee (KJ) responded with: "Your original email said you would be picking this up and we do not have time just to run 1 gallon of coffee over to you. You will either need to pick this up or cancel the order. If you are picking up then I need to know what time. Thanks. KJ."

I understand that delivery might not always be feasible, but the condescending tone and lack of basic courtesy were completely unnecessary. Customer service is about communication and flexibility, and this interaction made me feel like my business was an inconvenience to them. There are plenty of other coffee shops that offer great coffee and respect their customers – I suggest trying one of...

We've been organic food nanny customers for years. Since it went pick-your-meals we've been "less consistent" about ordering, but we still do most weeks.
