Wow!!... i have never tasted anything so delicious & amazing!!!!!!!! Today was my first time here! I ordered the chicken caesar wrap but added hummus... And wow did the hummus make it pop!!!!!!! Absolutely delicious amazing food!!!!! Everything was fresh!! Staff was excellent, helpful and very kind!! Very clean place!! I'm so surprised how amazing this place is!! I wish I would've tried and knew about this place along time ago!! I hope we get more of them in the des moines area!!!!!! I cannot say enough good things about Pita Pit!!!!!! I would give more than 5 stars if I could!!!!!!! If you never tried pita pit I recommend trying what I had!!!!! Super disappointed! Pita pit used to be amazing and incredible however tonight..was horrible. We were served by a blonde haired kid along with a brown haired kid. Throwing stuff around, throwing pens, dropping pens, etc. We got kicked out of the dining at 5:51pm saying the dining area closed at that time in the middle of my meal. There was lettuce and tomato and trash on the floor at 2 different tables super gross. Not to mention my boyfriend asked for buffalo sauce on his pita..got teriyaki, we didn’t want to bother telling the kids as they were already visibly in a bad mood. Very disappointed and wish we didn’t have that experience as pitapit on merle hay used to be our fave fast food. :/ I’d give 0 stars but there’s no option for that...

A hidden gem in Des Moines, wish I found this place sooner, super healthy food that actually fills you up for under $8 ($1.50 off meals if you’d can scan the app) !!! Super tasty and fits that subway/blaze pizza build your own model so it’s on you to make a good meal. Way more food for the money and way tastier than Chipotle and pancheros. Also the service is great they have a great team there, and best of all whenever I go, there’s never a line which is awesome.

They also have vegan options as well, I haven’t tried the falafel yet but I def want to. Hope this place stays the same with services/prices for a long time! Just be careful on taking a right turn out to Merle hay road after leaving, huge blind spot...
