Wicked Brew Espresso Drive Thru — Restaurant in Utah

We have been coming here for years and especially enjoy the spicy mocha as a treat. Gone are the days of the chill baristas at Wicked Brew. It’s my husband’s birthday tomorrow so I stopped by to get him a spicy mocha as a surprise. When I asked, I was met with a sharp, “No. I don’t have the spice for those.”

Honestly I should have just driven away at this point as it was obvious she was clearly annoyed that I was there.

I had the audacity to then ask if they do a wet or dry cappuccino (a reasonable question) to which she responded, “well that depends on how you order it.” I asked if I ordered a wet cappuccino if that’s what I’d get and she said, “Well I should hope so.”

So I ordered two wet cappuccinos and guess what. I was given two DRY cappuccinos.

Never have I ever had such a bad experience with a barista. Very disappointed that this place clearly no longer wants repeat business.

EDIT: The response from the owner just reaffirms my experience - go ahead and gaslight me. That's great customer service!

**I own several small businesses myself. I know it’s hard. I have several employees and interact with customers on the daily. I’m pretty sure you were just having a bad day today and are choosing to take it out on a “troll”. I’m sorry you had a bad day. I’m not welcome here and I get that....

​We visited this coffee shop in September 2021, and it has stuck with us as one of the best, if not the best, coffee spots we've ever been to. The coffee was phenomenal—they clearly have a great base coffee, which is a key indicator of a quality shop. The staff were also incredibly friendly.

​What really set this place apart were the details we look for in a top-tier cafe. The coffee had crazy flavor combinations that worked so well, a sign of quality syrups. Their chocolate-covered espresso beans were the best we've ever had, and we've learned that a shop that makes its own beans is often exceptional. They even had a unique sticker, which is a quirky rule of ours—the crazier the sticker, the better the experience has been!

​My wife and I travel a lot and plan our mornings around visiting cafes. We've been to countless spots, from various South American plantations to shops all over the world, but this place still ranks at the top....

The first day in Moab the little lady that made my coffee was bomb and knows how to give customer service and quality product. However day 3 on my way out of town I made a simple ask, 16 vanilla single shot no foam. When I got it the coffee was half foam, I handed back and she added a little more milk, I drove off and took my first drink(my fault for not checking before I pulled out) and zero vanilla in the coffee, they were so busy I wasn't about to go back in line. I'm assuming it was the owner who had served me and she let it be known she was upset that I didn't want my half foam coffee. Needless to say I will be skipping this coffee hole...
