UGH! Lousy service, lousy food, over-priced. Walked in at approximately 5:45 P.M. on a Sunday evening and the place was less than 20% full (that should tell you something). Not a single person at the bar or in the bar area. Four employees were standing near the greeters area when I walked in and they completely ignored me as they chatted amongst themselves. I finally asked if I could be seated and the look I got was one of utter disgust. I was asked if I would like a table or a booth and I said booth. I was seated at a table. As I was waiting for the remainder of my party to arrive, a couple of others parties were seated close by several minutes later, and each were waited on before me with one party even receiving their food order before I was approached. I finally asked an employee if they could send a server to my table. We (by then the remainder of my party arrived) waited another 10 minutes before we were finally approached by our server. We promptly ordered our drinks and entrees. We noticed our drinks sitting at the bar for quite some time before they were served. I ordered the chicken fajita roll-up, at one time my favorite menu item at Applebee's, which came out as if it had been soaked in grease, it was literally dripping with some sort of liquid. Additionally, the chicken was extremely undercooked. I had to ask for the Mexi-dip that was supposed to come with the entre on two occasions, but never did receive it. The only reason I didn't send it back was because I was fearful of how long I would have to wait for another one. My wife only ordered a salad which was just okay (pretty hard to mess up a salad, but she did say the croutons were soggy). My two grandsons ordered the mac and cheese from the kids menu and they said it was cold and both ate less than half the order. A two and one-half hour dining experience (I use the term experience loosely) that cost over $75.00 (I had one large draft beer and my wife only had a water). I do not typically frequent chain restaurants, but Applebee's once was pretty high on my list when I frequently traveled for work. Read moreWe dined in for two on a monday (10/27) at 3:45pm and had the WORST experience!! When we walked in the place was empty but we saw 2 other parties waiting to be seated. When we walked up to the host stand, the lady, Rita (black woman wearing jeans and a black crop top) was ABSOLUTELY RUDE!! BEWARE OF HER ATTITUDE !! She never greated us or said hi, never asked us how many were in our party or if we wanted to sit at the bar or a table and she WALKED AWAY and sat the 2 parties without addressing us at all as we were still standing at the host stand!!! After seating the 2 parties she WALKED AWAY AGAIN and just left us standing there… still without saying a word to us. After 10 mins another woman came up to the stand, grabbed 2 menus and walked away from us towards some tables in the back expecting us to follow her!! She very rudely said “come this way” as we followed in shock, plopped the menus on the table and left. ALL OF THIS HAPPENED WITHOUT A HELLO OR BASIC CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Our server Gage was good and we thought we were going move past the horrible service but after waiting 30 mins for simple appetizers to come out, OUR APPETIZERS WERE COLD AND OUR FOOD CAME TO THE TABLE WITH NO SILVERWARE OR SMALL PLATES !! Our queso was filled half way in the bowl, our boneless buffalo wings were hard as rocks and our loaded pub fries with “melted” cheese sauce was already solidifying by the time it got to the table. The new fried pickle fries were ICE COLD and the chicken wonton tacos were SOGGY!! We were furious and decided to just let our server know we were unhappy, pay the whole bill and leave!! Gage told us he would be back with a manager so we could speak with them but NOBODY showed up and when he came back with the check, there was a 30% off discount applied to the bill… so they admitted to the mistakes but only take accountability for 30% of the errors?? when 100% of our food was cold and 100% of our service was horrible??? we have come here manyyy times in the past and this was the final straw ! we will be going to other locations for better food and service from now...
Read moreI placed an order online (roughly $50) and it said it would be ready at 7:50pm. Someone came out a bit after that to get my name for the order. After like 10 minutes another person came out and asked again for my name to get the order. Another 10 minutes went by and then the 1st lady came out again and told us the food would be out soon. After the order was brought, there were multiple issues.
-Asked for no chicken on the quesadilla, it came with chicken -We purchased additional tortilla chips and they were not there -The chicken penne was missing the breadstick -There were no mushrooms or onions on the bourbon street (comes with it) We were supposed to get 2 ranches, only got 1, also the ranch from here lately are only like half-full -We replaced the garlic mashed potatoes with fries and the fries came in the same container as the Bourbon Street so they were all soaked in grease and soggy
We complained about these items and they asked me to bring them in and they would fix it. Then they fixed the stuff but forgot to give us the appetizer platter back. We had to wait for them to make it again.
By the time I actually got my order and was leaving, it was already 25 minutes passed the ready time. Also, the manager was present and offered no type of discount or courtesy item for the situation.
Honestly, we have been going here for over 10 years and the service/food quality has gotten consistently worse over time to the point where we don’t come as often. We are constantly calling because of issues and it also seems as if the portions have been cut. Considering make the extra trip out to the Auburn Hills location as we haven’t had any issues there
I understand costs are higher these days and I am usually very patient in these types of situations. But most of these issues were easily avoidable and it’s frustrating after a long day to get stuck for an extra half hour
The food was decent but the experience was awful and honestly not worth it after...
