Pinoy Classics — Restaurant in Utica

My mom and I embarked on a day trip from Toledo to St. Clair Shores Beach, soaking up the sun until we were ready to indulge in some delicious Filipino cuisine. Luckily, we stumbled upon Pinoy Classics, a hidden gem in the area! As we entered, we were warmly greeted by the inviting decor, including beautiful money tree plants. Although the grilled pork belly was sold out (a testament to its popularity!), my mom and I opted to share an order of the savory pancit and treated ourselves to a refreshing halo-halo. And oh, it did not disappoint! The halo-halo was one of the best I've had, and the pancit tasted perfect. But what really made our experience stand out was the exceptional service - the staff was very warm and welcoming. Girlfriend and I came in for the first time today. I have had Filipino food before, but she had not! We ordered lunch for carryout and it was ready in about 20 minutes.

The portion sizes were generous. The restaurant itself looked super clean and welcoming.

It’s right off Hall rd, so it’s easy to get to!

We ordered honey bbq pork which came on skewers. We were surprised to get 3 skewers! It came with 3 little lumpia’s which are like crunchy egg roll type of things.

Also came with a portion of pancit which is like noodles with veggies and chicken I think. We got the pork belly which was seasoned to perfection.

All in all, we will definitely be back as the food was delicious, the service was fast and friendly and all at a reasonable...

Tried a takeout order because my mom has been really wanting some dinuguan, so you know a son has to take care of his mama. Saw they had it on special so dropped in and tried a bunch of different food.

Family owned, so there will be very small interaction while they are preparing your food. The restaurant appeared clean, albeit empty towards closing time so I cannot speak to how the service might be if you dine in.

I personally think their new menu is a better layout compared to their specials only before. I really liked the Pancit and the vegetables that it had. Tocino, silog, pork barbecue and dinuguan were all good. My favorite was their dessert though. halo halo, banana cue, pastillas, and taho were...
