McDonald's — Restaurant in Utica

I used to love this McDonald’s, I come here frequently for lunch while working and I have had nothing but fantastic service and quality every time I come through…until recently.

I noticed the quality of the food is lacking and with new staff, the service has gone downhill exponentially. I always told others that this Mcdonald’s is the best that I’ve been too, and I swore by it. Now, I never want to stop here again.

The workers rush you through the drive through - i ordered one item and before i could even add a drink the cashier told me drive forward. No total, no “will that be all for you?” or anything! She got mad when i said wait did you get that? because she didn’t complete the one item that i asked for correctly. When i got to the window she kept messing up my code, and then just didn’t apply it at all to get me through. I didn’t even bother at that point because she was getting annoyed because she didn’t want to scan the code, and I was getting annoyed with her attitude. Once I got to the pickup window, another employee with no smile, no hello, just gave me the food. when i said “thank you, have a nice day!” he just said “yup” with the most deadpanned expression.

I used to work fast food, i know it can be overwhelming but i also know how important customer service is. I know there is a timer but please don’t rush people through, especially if the food is messy and thrown together by the time i get to the window - and i was the only person in line!! no need for all that

It’s so sad - this used to be an excellent location, and now due to this new staff it’s going downhill quickly. i recommend hitting the next one down the road instead if you want something...

I went thru the drive thru to order. I ordered 3 bacon mc doubles just ketchup only, a number 1 no onion LG with a cokesnd a side LG fri. I pay get my food and I pulled over my mom checked our food and 2 of the bacon mc doubles were wrong they had everything on them. I would have just eaten them but I am highly allergic to pickles! my mom has low blood sugar and had to eat and there was onion in her big. Mac but due to her low blood sugar she had to eat it!!! So I go back thru the drive thru and let them know that 2 of the burgers were wrong. I go to the 2nd window and get the new ones I pulled up and I thought I was being pranked because everything looked good until I checked the bottom of the burger and they hid a pickle in the bacon! I checked the other one it was plain with cheese no bacon nothing. so I pulled up to go in talked to the lady that was at the window she was nice. she offered a refund I said ok. she stepped back said to a short girl with brown hair can I get 2 bacon mc doubles with just ketchup. lady in back started running her mouth and very rude and was laughing about it. if I would of ate that I would have owned the place I will never in my life go back there. the manager seemed like he didn't care! didn’t say sorry didn't say anything to me like really. The person that took my order did not want to work. The person that gave me my order, just shoved my bag of food at me and then he slammed the drive through window. I looked in my bag and I saw right away food I paid for was missing. Trying to get their attention in a polite way was not working. So I just sat there waiting for someone to come to the window. Finally over five minutes and yes I counted the minutes. Time these days costs everybody but I wanted the food I paid for in full. Anyway he finally comes to the window and in a tone of him being bothered, he said "What do you want?" I said the rest of my food. He really didn't like my answer. Anyways I left thinking I have all the food I paid for. I got home, sat the food down for my adult children. Then one of my kids tells me they only gave me 15 nuggets. I paid for 20 nuggets. I tried calling them for half an hour. They never answered. I know how to cook, I just wanted to relax on a Friday night. This is the kind of service most people are going to get at this Macdonalds. I've gave them countless chances. I will never go to this location. And, just so everyone knows they are the most expensive Macdonald...
