Billy Bob's Hamburgers — Restaurant in Uvalde

Such a hidden gem that I don't think alot of people know about or at least don't give enough credit to. Billy Bob's was a shot in the dark for me since I just wanted to try a local burger place instead of the numerous megacorp fast food restaurants chains that litter interstate highways and boy was I in for a treat. When I first stopped by I was met with a locked door even though it was well passed opening hours. No worries since shortly after the cashier was able to unlock the door for me and let me order right away. It almost seemed like I was their first customer. I ordered a Mushroom swiss double patty burger and a side of fries, my girlfriend got a order of chicken tenders with a side of gravy and fries. First of all, this was hands down one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. Super juicy patty with a generous serving of mushrooms and seasoned to taste. The fries were crinkle cut and tossed in some salt and pepper so no going wrong there. For the chicken strips I was accidentally charged for the 5 pice basket instead of the 3 piece I ordered but I didn't complain, crunchy and fresh the tenders were very filling and the gravy did not disappoint. Super tasty and even better when mixed with the fries. Overall a great experience, complimented by a unique rustic interior adorned with vintage Pepsi cola posters, old western cowboy portraits and plenty of Texas themed decorations. Definitely will be visiting everytime I come down this way...

Everyone has been so excited about this resuraunt coming to uvalde. I have never had food from one of their other branches so I have nothing to compare it too, but I was not amazed, the first time they took 20 minutes to get me my order, I chalked it up to they are new and it was busy, after recieving my food, I realized they had not given me my husbands onion rings, so I had to wait for those which took another 10 minutes, they offered me a brownie to make up for it, and while I appreciated the thought wasnt really a great offer for 30 minutes of waiting for what I think is like semi-fast food.. I could have cared less about going back but my husband wanted to return so I was willing to give them another try, they got our food much quicker, maybe 10 minutes, I got fish which was okay and had decent flavor, I would go back again, if someone else wanted to eat there but wouldn't go on my own, plenty of people seem to love their food as they are busy all the time, but that is usually the case any time something new opens up in a...

We came into this billy bobs after a day at the River and I’m honestly so disappointed in the service we ordered the family deal and the giant mushroom meal well I made it very clear please not to add any mayo on any of my items after about 25 minutes waiting after pulling forward to the front like the employee told us to we were ready to eat only to find 2 soggy junior burgers all five had mayo no napkins no ketchup, so my son went in to grab ketchup he stood at the front register for over ten minutes and wasn’t helped until after my husband went in and waited another five !
