Visited tonight for the first time after hearing great things. This is best ambiance of any of the new restaurants that have opened in the Downingtown area recently, IMO. We sat at a hightop in the bar area. Chairs were incredibly comfortable and tables are not on top of one another. The hostess and server were both lovely. Onto the food. I was surprised to not have bread or olive oil at an Italian restaurant, it felt like something was missing. The Cesar salad was so uniquely plated and really quite delicious. The gnocchi was light and airy, definitely recommend. The stuffed shell appetizer special came out as a ravioli (not what I expected) and while the sauce was good, the short rib wasn’t exciting and the pasta itself just missed the mark. My hubby felt the ravioli was under cooked. For dinner, I had the ribeye, and it was perfectly cooked and delicious. While it comes very beautifully plated (it’s stacked in a bowl style plate, with layers and a demi glaze underneath) it’s very hard to cut a thick ribeye stacked on bread, mushrooms and potatoes in a bowl. I’d rethink that plating. My hubby had the tuna and said it was cooked perfectly. We will definitely be coming back to try more items...

We were a table of four. I will only speak for myself and my husband. The atmosphere was pleasent and warm with soothing jazz. Nicely decorated. The service was fine but there is still a disconnect between the website and reality. It still says byob while they waited for a license, so our special choices that we brought were denied. The better way to handle this would be to charge the uncorking fee until their advertising catches up. I called twice before to make sure but could never speak to a person. I selected a white fish stuffed with crab and scallops. Sounded promising except that the dominant stuffing flavor was salt. And there were only trace pieces of the promised seafood. My husband ordered the gnocci. He described it as OK. The serving was so small he immediately snacked upon arriving home. While the food presentation was top notch, the actual eating experience didn't match the...

My wife and I had our first date night in a long time and did we pick the right place to go. Unfortunately there was a glitch in the reservation app and our table was double booked but that didn't matter, in fact it made our night even more memorable. We had the Fritto Misto, Insalata Caesar Con Prosciutto and Ostriche Alla Griglia for our apps and all where amazing. The Stripped Bass special my wife had was cooked to perfection and she couldn't stop telling me how much she loved it. I had the Lamb that came with Polenta Fries. It was so phenomenal I think I started eating it with my eyes closed so I could just focus on how delicious every bite was. Even though they're bar wasn't open yet we got to spend some time talking with the bartenders Joseph and Brian, couldn't been friendlier and more helpful guys. Joseph's passion for making fun, new, and exciting drinks will only elevate our...

I’ve never felt compelled to write a review before, but this experience demanded it. My friend and I ordered the chef’s signature gnocchi — a dish that turned out to contain a piece of glass. When I bit down, I felt something sharp and pulled an actual piece of glass from my mouth. The manager’s response? A half-hearted apology followed by a joke about ensuring our next dish would be “plastic-free.” For a restaurant that touts itself as fine dining, the lack of seriousness, accountability, or meaningful compensation — beyond comping the contaminated dish itself — was appalling. They didn't even offer to get us a fresh dish. Finding glass in my food is unacceptable anywhere — but at a supposed upscale establishment, it’s unforgivable.
