I arrived just before 9:00 AM. It wasn't very busy and I was allowed to seat myself. The staff is very attentive I had my order in within 10 minutes. My food arrived about 15 minutes later. Being alone at the restaurant I did want some peace and the staff, while checking in periodically, did leave me to myself. There was a very good selection of toast on the menu and the rest of the menu was pretty standard for breakfast place. Everything I ordered was as I expected and there were no unpleasant surprises. I did have a small gripe about the pancakes, they are a little chewy but nothing different than I would find it most other similar establishments. Someone needs to tell these chefs that you need to let your batter rest and don't over mix the batter, but I digress. I like the fact that I was asked if I wanted my bacon crispy it's a nice option which I enjoy. the syrup is served in squeeze bottle which is a little different but I actually found it nice and nothing was all sticky everything was nice and clean, something you can't say about every breakfast place. The other patrons that were there seemed to be mostly regulars and the staff knew them well. The price for the food was not out of line with the area that I'm in so I had no complaints about that and I would go there again and recommend it highly.

The Depot Cafe in Old downtown Uxbridge is a wonderful homey comfortable old style Cafe where you can get the best food around! The atmosphere is old-time railroading and the place is full of railroad touches! For example: every time an order is up, the kitchen blows a train whistle to alert your server. There's a special electric sign that runs all the time and with messages changing every 90 seconds. The food is really good and the servers are really excellent and attentive! We loved this place and will be back.

Depot Cafe is my go-to restaurant for breakfast. Food is prepared to order and served hot, so sometimes there may be a bit of a wait, but it’s worth it. My favorite items are the huge pancakes, breakfast burritos, and 2x2 breakfast. The bird nest hash browns are delicious if you like your potatoes extra crispy. Menu prices are quite reasonable and you’ll not leave hungry.

I am gluten and dairy free which can be hard to accommodate. Depot Cafe did a fantastic job doing so! I was able to get the potatoes because the chef pan fried them for me. I ordered a sizzling plate and the chef used oil instead of butter to accommodate. They also offer gluten free bread for the toast. I didn’t get this option (because I didn’t feel like asking about the diary situation) but they do offer gluten free batter for pancakes and French toast. The wait staff was friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is fun! There are all sorts of train...
