After a softball tournament this past Saturday, the majority of our team/families went to lunch at this location. We called ahead and made sure they knew a large party was coming in so they could prepare. They had us separated in our own area which was fine. 3 waiters introduced themselves as handling our tables. Once they started taking orders, we asked if they wanted to know which kid belonged to which parent so the checks could be split and we were told "our manager wants us to put it on one ticket and split it at the end". Right out of the gate, our drink orders were wrong. Our waiter seemed confused and couldn't remember if the cokes he brought were regular, diet or coke zero. Our food came, it was decent. I asked for an extra ranch when I ordered, along with 2 other times after the food was brought before I got it. When it came time to start separating checks, this is where it really got bad. The waitress that was handling the kids' table came and tried to figure out which meals should be together and we explained this is what we were trying to do all along but they would not listen. We gave them the jersey number of the kids AND what meal they had, and they continued to bring out the wrong checks split together. Our waiter Jacob did not come back around for a LONG time, and 1 of the 3 assigned to us was the only one trying to get the checks right. Then we heard that their "computer system was down". Then we heard that they were going to cancel all the checks they already had and re-ring them up all separately, so they went around to ALL the members of our party to re-ask what everyone had ordered. They started bringing the checks out one by one to be paid, would take someone's payment card back to the front and then when they walked back didn't have the card and said "oh I think my manager is ringing it up". It took OVER AN HOUR from the time we finished eating for the last person to receive their check and pay. My fiancƩ stayed back and made sure everyone had their check paid, tipped ONLY the waitress who stayed during the entire time to help figure it out and was in tears because of it, and then told the manager that her decision to "wait until the end" to split them up was a terrible mistake. Not that it mattered, but there was no apology from the manager, no discount for our troubles, no nothing. I understand a large party can be overwhelming especially when the people on one check aren't sitting together - but we TRIED to make it as easy as possible from the very beginning with no luck. The softball complex is right down the road from this location - so anyone reading this, I do NOT recommend taking your teams there after games. I would like to shout out the one waitress who stayed (either Mia or Tia, young black girl with glasses) and tried her hardest to make...

So I visited Cheddar's twice within a couple days. The first time I wanted to try them out since I've heard such good things about them. That experience was ROUGH. You could tell it was a little busy and my server was clearly overwhelmed. He was TRYING, so I give the 2 stars for HIM. First I ordered one of their "signature" frozen drinks which I've heard so much about, but then the server returned after a while saying I could not have THAT drink because the bar tender was behind on his orders 𤨠He told me he would try to get me something close to what I ordered if there was one already made at the bar. He did, indeed, return with a drink that he managed to get from SOMEWHERE... I had never had the drink so I don't know if it was what I ordered or something hs casually picked up. It was good though. Then when my pasta came out, it was super dry and appeared to be full of seasoning, but was very bland. AND they forgot my broccoli and garlic bread. The broccoli was brought out on the side a few minutes later, but the garlic bread never cameš© The server said it was so busy and he kept checking for it, but it was never put out. I finally finished what I was going to eat and asked for a To-Go box. The server offered me a croissant in the garlic bread's place to take with me... which I found out LATER I was supposed to get complimentary anyway when I first got there and I did NOT. All in all, there was a lot of chaos and NOTHING seemed organized. This was annoying than the flavorless food. My second visit was only because a friend took me out for lunch and he wanted to go here AND was paying so...š¤·š¾āāļø It was just 2 days later. I thought because it was a weekday, they may not be as busy and the service & food should be better. WRONG! It was worse. AND there was what looked like a pubic hair 𤮠on my baked potatoe and one on my sister's cake so we ended up sending them both back. I just ate the appetizers and called it a day. Overall, I think this has the potential to be a great place, but there definitely needs to be some changes in the business processes... oh AND in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe visited this location at approximately 6 pm on a Tuesday. It was not at all busy, but the 3 hostesses seemed perplexed by our presence as it took longer than usual to seat us. We were placed in the main area of the restaurant in close proximity to almost every other guest in the building. There were MANY open tables throughout but the sections seemed to be closed for some reason. It was hot outside, but it was miserably hot inside. We were sweating the whole meal. The server laughed off my question about why it was so hot. No reason was given. Our order was taken and the food came without incident. I got a half rack of ribs and about halfway through the server seemed to be ready to go. She rushed us from then on out. As the check was dropped she told us we could pay on the ziosk. I said I was using cash. She said ok, and I asked if I pay at the front as she didn't really seem interested in taking my payment. She said I could just leave it on the table, unless I needed change. Which I did, but since I was elbow deep in my ribs I couldn't produce the cash right away. When I was able I got out my $100 bill to pay out $53.48 check. When she came back she looked at it and asked if I needed change. Somehow this server believed she had given service and an experience worthy of a $46.52 tip. The end came when she returned with the change and informed me she couldn't find any coin change so I was only getting $46 back. The 52 cents became part of the tip. Whether I liked it or not. There were some very preventable missteps: never ask if someone wants change, if you don't have jingle the guest gets the benefit. 5 of the six tables that were sat around the same time as us were sat in the same small area and added greatly to the temperature problem. Every one has bad days but after a few hours of school shopping for you two young daughters we were hoping for an escape. Instead we got a hot dining room, an uninterested server, and some ok food. Great service can absolutely make up for mediocre food....
