Moschetti Cafe — Restaurant in Vallejo

Locals will support mom and pop shops if the service is good and the employee's are friendly. On my initial visit a few weeks ago on a Saturday, it was closer to closing and it went ok. Nothing spectacular. My drink was great but the beignets were frozen. I wish the server would have asked if I would like it warmed for a second to take the chill off. The yummy taste of my coffee was the reason I returned! This morning, however, the blonde girl at the register did not greet me, say hello, smile or anything!?!? It looked like she really hated her life and being there that early! There needs to be better training on customer service. Maybe she should have switched with the barista because the girl making the coffee was actually super nice! Again, my drink was delicious, so I guess it's a hit or miss with customer service. I will say the other mom and pop coffee shops that serve moschetti coffee in Vallejo have gotten my business because the employees are nice, so I guess we all can...

We won't be returning as long as one of the young women servers is still on staff. We politely objected to a dog repeatedly barking indoors (only service dogs are allowed in restaurants, and this one wasn't). The server smirked and rolled her eyes and made snarky comments; she didn't show any understanding or sympathy whatsoever: quite the opposite. When we told her we found an article stating that dogs aren't allowed in restaurants (I'm allergic to animal fur, not to speak of the hygiene aspect), she loudly accused us of harassing her and basically drove us out. I know of at least 5 people who won't return due to this same woman, citing her rude and hostile behavior. Have been wanting to check out this local spot and we finally did. Surely did not disappoint. We decided to dine in since it was our first time here. This place had plenty of seating, indoor & outdoor. We ordered the Pear Wild Arugula Salad, Tuna Melt and the California Club sandwich. All items were delicious, especially the Arugula Salad. It was so fresh and delightful. As for the beverages, we only had an Iced Coffee, which my husband said it was good. The staff was very friendly and was always checking to see if we were okay or if we needed anything.
