Unfortunately, I have to edit my review from years ago as this place has gone down hill. The service was terrible and the food matched. Tables walking out due to poor service, elderly waiting for their checks while the servers gossip about getting only 1.50 for a tip (wonder why) Outside of the service which can be replaced, they decided it was acceptable to serve something in place of the Big Boy classic and attempted to lie and cover it up. When I pushed back about how many times I have been here and the sandwich being the reason I come, the other server finally confessed that they aren't getting their normal shipments and this isn't the normal meat. To serve someone double portions of meat and then lie is bad business. There is a clear disconnect between the staff as they seem to not get along with management since the complaint of the servers is that they have to pass this off and when they complain they get "yelled at." Mind you, most of this was heard clear through the lobby. I'd rather have the elderly server that takes a bit too long, than the youthful servers who have no professionalism or filters. I left the picture from years ago so you can show your servers what the real Big Boy is so they can stop lying to your customers.

Move over, Ronald — the real Big Mac lives here, and his name is Big Boy. Stopped by Frisch’s Big Boy on a road trip through Ohio and left with a belly full of greatness and a newfound respect for burger history. This place isn’t just slinging burgers — it’s preserving a legacy. The Big Boy burger? It’s like the Big Mac’s cooler, older brother who never sold out. Juicy patties, crisp lettuce, special sauce that actually tastes special — it’s everything McDonald’s wishes it could be. You can taste the difference: the buns aren’t squished, the meat has flavor, and the vibe screams retro Americana in the best way possible. It’s like biting into the 1950s, minus the Cold War paranoia. The cherry on top? They didn’t skimp on the fries either — golden, crispy, and seasoned with the tears of McDonald’s chefs realizing they’ve been beat. This place is a national treasure. Protect it at all costs. Big Boy walked so the Big Mac could run (straight into mediocrity).

Going on a Sunday morning. The food is pretty cool. The service was decent but not anything special. It is definitely an older crowd not only customers but staff which I'm not against or anything. Our waitress actually brought us the wrong food and since she was a little older we didn't want to make a big deal of it or it embarrass her or anything like that so we just accepted it but then she was "upset" That we got more food for the same amount of money (We ordered three pancakes but received one waffle 🙄). She mentioned this multiple times throughout our meal and at the end while bringing our check, But it was fine... Are things considered? The waffle was pretty good. The rest of our food was pretty good. We ordered some sort of milkshake strawberry crunch I believe... It was not that great.

Went for dessert and coffee. I ordered the mint chocolate chip hot fudge cake and coffee and my hubby ordered fries , Pepsi and coke slaw. The fries arrived at the table before everything else. They tasted dried out like they had been sitting and re dropped down in the oil to re heat. They were brought to our table in about 3 minutes. Next comes out his cole slaw. The table next to us complained about their order the same waitress we had takes the plate back to the cook and he just shakes his head and she stands there laughing. Finally after my husband was done with food what he could stand to eat FINALLY after 20 minutes my hot fudge cake arrives to the table and it’s the traditional with vanilla ice cream 😡 I told her his fries were nasty which he didn’t not want anymore because they turned his stomach and he wouldn’t be able to eat anything else anyway. I also explained that I wanted the mint chocolate chip hot fudge cake that was featured on the placemat as I asked for when I ordered. She rolls her eyes and says “it’s almost time to go home”. AND I CARE WHY? That is no reason to serve nasty reheated petrified fries and screw up a simple dessert. I don’t like wasting food so I said never mind it took long enough to get this I’ll just eat this one! She walks away and comes back with a bow of mint chocolate chip ice cream WHAT? At this point we still don’t have his pop or my coffee. I ask for our drinks and she was like oh yeah Duh! This is what we did to celebrate Valentines Day because all I wanted was my hot fudge cake the way I wanted. No apology nothing off the bill no compensation whatsoever! I have been going to this location all my life and it’s really...

The food was alright. I specifically asked to have the food sent out as it was ready and not to make us all wait until everyone's food was ready. My mother is older and can't/won't eat "cold" food. As we were celebrating Mother's Day and it was all about her, my sister and I wanted her to enjoy the meal. At 1st, the waitress was fine, but then she brought out the appetizers steaming hot. But we waited an hour for the food, and I just knew they were going to bring it out altogether. And she did. Exactly what I asked her not to do. My mom was disgusted at the cold fries. The waitress never even offered me a refill the entire 2 and a half hours we were there. When another waitress came over and began refilling our drinks, I told her i was going to tip her, and then all of a sudden, our original waitress wanted to suddenly come over. She interrupted the young lady who was making our drinks and she decided to make them to go and then had the nerve to try and upcharge our bill for drink refills because she decided on her own to make them to go. Yep, we knew for certain it was time to go. I debated over giving her a tip at all. But since our bill wasn't upcharged and she is in a tipped profession, I did tip her. I also tipped the 2nd waitress and the hostess. However, I did not tip her as if she did a job-well-done....

I've never been to a big boy. They don't have them where I'm from. I called at 1050 am to place an order for 2 Co coworkers and myself for pickup at 1130 1 was a classic big boy, he said it was good. 2 was a buffalo ranch sandwich which he said that the sandwich was soggy and he didn't eat much of it because of that he also had a strawberry shake which is HALF WHIPPED CREAM!?! That's highway robbery. I ordered a BBQ ranch salad and a strawberry milkshake. Which was also HALF WHIPPED CREAM!?! for 3.99 that's a joke. Upon arriving at the restaurant there were several guests standing around waiting to check out. They hostess asked if we were for pickup and we said yes, but they had a question about my salad, buffalo or BBQ? I said I want a BBQ salad. She said ok. After about ten minutes of watching the employees run around like chickens with their heads cut off, my computer workers finally paid their bill but didn't have their food. They had to go back to get it, then my salad hadn't even been made yet. Here it is 1150 and I get my salad and check out. Even gave the old lady a cash tip for effort. But when I opened the salad it was BUFFALO SAUCE!! Salad was too small for being 8.19 overall bad first time experience.

AND IT WILL BE THE LAST TIME I EVER GO...
