Cielito Lindo — Restaurant in Valliant

Drivers: dont waste your time. This place smelled so good from the outside, but the smell was better than the real thing. The food is bland at best, the queso blanco tasted exactly like Campbell's cream of mushroom and was so watery it dripped off the chips which themselves tasted a little stale but were warmed up which was nice. The salsa tasted like pace picante and looked like it too. In short nothing tasted homemade. They are not cheap as other reviews say, they want between $15-$18 for their fajitas which are underwhelming portions to boot. Their guac had so much anti browning agent in it I could taste it. I ordered a burrito, for $8, which had 5 medium shrimp in it (I counted) 4 medium pieces of shredded chicken, and after that it was rice. I really dislike leaving bad reviews on family owned restaurants because I love small business' and I love the messages a good cook can send out. The cook y'all had the day I went in was sending a message loud and clear: 'I hate this job, I want you to taste my misery'. The single star is for our waitress who was bright and quick, even with her telling me I was wrong about the queso tasting bad, I just hadn't had good queso blanco. She then refused to take it off the receipt, despite the bowl being full. Overall I may try the diner up the road next time I'm in town, but after being misled by the reviews for this place I might just...

Our experience here was not good. The waitresses were not in the least bit friendly, they looked angry the whole time. It took for ever to get anything. My husband finally got a salad, was supposed to be a chef salad. We had never seen one like it. A waitress came at the same time and said they didn't have the chicken for my taco only had for fajitas. She asked me if I wanted a fajita, I told her no. She asked if I wanted to look at the menu and order something else. I said no. I would share my husband's salad. We had already been in there about 45 minutes. When I went to pay, she couldn't get card machine to work, she asked me to pay cash, I did have some, so I paid cash. I left no tip. We were not happy with this...

They overcharged us $10, after signing the receipt for $50, it was $60 something. When I called the girl was nice, said it does happen sometimes and it's a glitch, should be back on my card in two days. Still don't have my $10/$12 back from their "glitch", we live in valliant so it's disappointing, because apparently this is normal and no one knows about it, and they haven't addressed it or tried to fix it. Makes you wonder how often it happens without...
