On 2/11/22 at 7:55 PM, I attempted to order online from my local Rosati’s only to find the online portal was “down” or turned off. I then called my local Rosati’s and ordered a 16” Thin Crust, well done, extra sauce, Italian sausage, and pepperoni. My ticket number was #160. I attempted to use my coupon but was told it was online only.
I received my pizza about 40 minutes later around 9 PM and attempted to eat it when my husband got home at 10. The pizza was not well done at all. It was light (I have pictures), maybe normal bake. I assumed the store closed at 10 (as this is posted on the website). I decided to call in the morning.
On my initial call at 11 CST, I was told to call back around 12 PM to speak to the assistant manager. I called after 12 PM and spoke to Fiona. I was told that I should have attempted to call after closing and that since it was the next day, there is nothing they can do for me. The closing time is also incorrect, as I was told that it was at 9 PM and the website states 10 PM. I wasn’t satisfied with this response, as I manage in food service and understand the power of word of mouth and return business. I stated I would call back and talk with Zachary, the manager.
I was also told by Zachary that because I didn’t eat the pizza immediately and it is the next day, that the “policy” is that he could only offer me $3-$4. This is insulting and unacceptable. This is especially because I received an undercooked pizza my previous time ordering from this location but wanted to give the kitchen the benefit of the doubt.
Nonetheless, I will not be back as I feel that the power of my dollar as a consumer is not important to this establishment. I voiced my experience respectfully and thoroughly and I was told basically “oh well”.
UPDATE: Paige the GM reached out per request of owner. I confirmed with Paige my experience and she was very responsive. Although one should never “complain” with the sole intent of receiving something, management took care and resolved this issue. I am appreciative that my value as a customer wasn’t dismissed and that the company reached out to me. I was also informed that Paige, the new GM is taking steps to work on consistency with her team so that they may uphold customer standards....
Read moreThe one in valpo sucks the persons that answer the phones every time I call sound dead like they don’t want to be at work and are not cordial at all one two they never know their own products. I usually call ahead because I’m on my way to work but that don’t even work because my order is never ready so I usually pay for the delivery to my job really they have a bunch of kids there that have no idea of customer service and like a dummy when I do go there I still leave tips. Now the rosati’s in schereville and crown point excellent everything food service hospitality love it and that’s the only reason why I still do business with rosati’s.
As of 11/09/2023 the service was great being honest after I gave my review a couple of years ago the manager at that time contracted almost immediately after the review in which she did correct the issue at hand immediately. I was a big beggars pizza fan especially with me growing up in Chicago and beggars started off on 127th and western and once i became a teenager my friends and I would hang out at the beggars in Lansing Illinois that’s the old theater so with me and my family and friends beggars pizza was like a cult thing lol. Fast forward in my 30s a guy I was working with said try Rosati‘s to my self I’m like there’s no one better than beggars. So after a while I ordered from Rosati‘s and I’ve been hooked ever since then just to give a back ground. I appreciate. the response and the customer service I only wish that other company’s could and would take the time out to ask there customers on how they feel and no not taking a survey when the call is done but actually a real person addressing the issues at hand. Me personally I can’t see myself ordering pizza or anything else Italian wise from any place else besides Rizzotti‘s. Update very...
Read moreI've been ordering pizza from Rosatis for 25 years in Chicago and suburbs. Always top notch Pizza and customer service. I'm not one to often call and complain nor am I looking to get something for nothing. But the last pizza I received from the Valparaiso Rosatis looked like it had been driven.in a Nascar race. We had guests and the pizza was cold. I called and sent a picture and was promised a $35 credit. Upon placing my next order they denied this and said they would only give 15. Not only did I have a terrible pizza I had to Deal with an arrogant snotty GM claiming they would never issue a credit like that . So I accepted her pittance of making it right and told her Tasha that we would no.longer be doing business there. To which she was completely indifferent. I know the original owners of this now franchised business. They were old school and never would have allowed a customer to walk away unhappy. I guess that's what happens when these companies get too big. They get arrogant and greedy. So goodbye Rosatis. And get ready to be trashed on...
