Firehouse Subs Belleville Travel Center — Restaurant in Van Buren Charter Township

I waited so long for this place to open and was so excited since it’s close to home and firehouse is one of my favorites to get. I’ve had it three times so far and won’t again. All three times the service and food was ridiculous. Staff each time seemed like they didn’t want to be there in the slightest bit. Last order I placed I called it in and the girl answered the phone as if it was her friend calling her on a Friday night. Proceeds to tell me to “hang on” and puts the phone down and had a full blown conversation with her coworker and they both were laughing hysterically for about 2 mins straight, then after a coughing fit she gets back on the phone, takes my order which was just one sandwich and literally plain-meat n cheese only tells me 10 min, 33 min later my food was ready not only was the order made wrong the meat was also like raw.. I just threw it away because I didn’t want to wait another 30 min to remake it. Mind you no one else was in there ordering or waiting I was the only person. Went there today, was told 10-15 minute wait on my order. They're painfully slow. I waited nearly 40 mintues on my order, standing there IN STORE WAITING. They eventually gave me my sandwich, but I left and didnt look at what they gave me. When I opened up my sub, it wasnt what I ordered. Not even close. They were mixing up orders and being VERY unorganized which was causing their lack of speed, getting these orders out. I wasnt the only one in the store getting pissed off standing there waiting.

This is the second time I've been there since they opened a couple weeks ago. Even the first time I was there, they were painfully slow. The incompetence here is on full display. I likely wont be back here anytime soon. They cant handle the customer traffic. Dont bother going here during any peak lunch or dinner times. My review is very mixed. I was at Firehouse subs about a week ago.Very excited that Belleville had another sub place other than Subway. The store is clean and loaded with the usual suspects; chips, soda and candy ect. Cinnabon is also featured although I didn’t buy anything, the young lady behind the counter was very nice.
