One year in. I have lived here for a year with my motorcycle. And it was never a Problem, All of a sudden they towed my motorcycle claiming they cant be on site. I have seen numerous motorycles here since even parked on the sidewalk for days and they let them be. Do not go here.
Management is rude and Seemingly revengeful
7 Month Update* overall place is like 3.5 to 4 stars good and bad.
place is pretty clean, they mop my hallway once a week
Furnace/Ac went out had a brand new one installed within a week.(super Fast) it took them 5 months to get me my new windows which was the reason they had to move my original move in date by a few days.(honestly i think they only did that so i would have to pay more for rent)
Had some issues Fixed by Kim and her team (kim is maintenance supervisor) kim has been great overall but some things did not remain fixed until i did them myself.
the office is constantly putting on events for residence.(a nice bonus)
pet waste being left in the grass is still a problem, it did get better.
Apartment is super quiet when in your apartment, in the hallway you will hear all your neighbors, im on the ground floor and when in my apartment i dont even hear my upstairs neighbors.
parking lot is improving but many people still park illegally or in others payed ports
Package theft is a bit to common here in my experience, one time someone took my neighbor and mine packages and opened them and decided to keep the good items and return the other stuff to the office, and the office wouldnt tell us who took our stuff even though the area has cameras, and they then defended the person and said it was just a mistake.
2 Week Update**After seeing several other apartment complexes while looking for a place to live, We went here on 07/17/2022 (just yesterday) to see the complex grounds and a apartment. We loved absolutely everything we saw. We were helped by Drew he was as helpful as any one person can be and then some. We loved the grounds and the 2bd apartment. We went forward with the application and are waiting to hear back. Will update review in the future.
Moved in 07/25. As always Drew (leasing) is great 5 stars. The rest of the others I dealt with are next to worthless. The leasing manager barley wanted to fix anything. She always has a attitude. Increased my move in cost after i already had my cashier check that costs a fee due to a miscalculation on the apartments end. Had to get a second cashier check and pay another fee for it .Which had my security deposit and next month's rent. Now here it is again I'm being told there is another miscalculation on ther apartments end and I have to pay more again. After I brought this up and they assured me it's a mistake that they would take care of, now they said i have to pay it. apartment is nice enough the grounds and clubhouse are nice 4 stars for sure. They don't have much desire to fix things or communicate. They just want you to pay and shut up.
The other leasing person she ignores me and only speaks to my partner she doesn't listen and is condescending and patronizing. To the point I walked out the office. If she is the only one there I will leave and wait a day for someone else to be there.
I haven't dealt with maintenance so I don't know how they are.
If I had anyone other then Drew showing me around and doing my application my partner and I 100% would have went somewhere else the others are way to rude and have a Superiority complex.
My rating
Drew 5 starts excellent(truly wonder, listens, gets things done genuinely seams like he cares)
My apartment 4 stars renovated (not like they have fixed anything bathroom door doesn't even stay closed only real repairs have been by me because the contractors are incompetent and I had to redo what they did and then some so it was done correctly)
The other leasing person 1 star (there is no lower rating)
The leasing manager 1 star (there is no lower rating)
There was definitely more to complain about but you're not here to read the...
Read moreUPDATE: Nicole, Crystal, and Joe Walker promptly addressed all of our concerns. They validated our frustrations, took accountability, and were just as dissatisfied with the previous maintenance “solutions.” T was friendly and replaced our air filter to help eliminate some of the dust, and our tub spout, the floor, baseboards, and the building’s door knob were all replaced, too. Joe provided updates and clear communication throughout the entire process. Their time and attention made us feel like we matter, and we will certainly consider staying here. [Left the original review for context.]
ORIGINAL: Take a look at the Trilogy’s “luxury” solutions to our most recent maintenance nightmare.
The bathtub had been wobbly and difficult to stand in since moving here. It got worse over time and became a serious slip hazard, so we submitted a work order to have it replaced. Someone came to inspect the situation on 8/20 and said the leasing office would be in touch about their plans to fix it. This was their first lie.
No one communicated any plans to us until we received a call on the morning of 8/29, over a week later, that maintenance was here and waiting to be let in. They spent that whole day on what ended up being a far more extensive project than we anticipated, considering their lack of communication. They removed the old shower liner, the old tile that laid underneath, and MOLDY insulation. This created dust that spread all over the apartment and the furniture. Their only solution was to lay two already very dirty cloths across the hallway floor. I won’t waste time talking about how long it took us to clean up the mess they left behind. When they finished, they said that we could shower in 24 hours after the caulk had dried. After that, we went to the bathroom to discover that they left a 2 inch gap between the new tub and the linoleum, exposing the floorboards underneath where water could have leaked into the downstair’s unit. On top of that, they cobbled together the tub spout pieces and jammed the diverter valve, thus preventing us from being able to shower there 24 hours later and marking their second lie.
Maintenance returned 5 days later on 9/3, took the tub spout apart, and saw that the wrong pieces were intentionally glued to each other. He came back with spray foam for the floor gap and a too-short, mismatched tub spout that leaves another 1 inch gap from the shower wall. We checked in with James at the leasing office several times about when maintenance was going to come back to finish the floor so we could plan accordingly and be here to supervise what’s already been a shoddy job, to which he replied that he didn’t know what time, just that they should come later that day, and that we don’t really have to be around during it. This is never an appropriate response to a tenant asking you to provide clear communication and to respect our already wasted time. Based on the reviews, it sounds like he’s kind to new tenants touring here, but could not give us the literal time of day when asked. And spoiler alert: maintenance never even came that day. They came two days later. On 9/5, they sent a final maintenance guy to fix the floor. He ended up simply nail gunning an ill-fitting piece of wood OVER the gap. He did not add new baseboards, either. This is hardly a solution to prevent water leakage.
Perhaps our expectations were too high after hearing the words “luxury” and “live large” thrown around here. They have a tendency to overpromise and underdeliver. I mean come on - both the key fob system and door knob to the building don’t even work properly. This is all completely unacceptable. Almost four years of living here, and by the looks of it, there will likely not be a fifth. That’s their goal anyways, right? For us to move so that they can finally renovate the whole apartment and charge the next guy more to “live large” here....
Read moreRecently received an infraction for dog defecation. Which is fine if i was negligent in ACTUALLY picking up my dogs poo. The main issue I have is with the lack of corroborating evidence the apartment gives when doling out pet infraction violations. Previously, we had received an infraction for our balcony but the warning was complete with a picture of what was unacceptable so we promptly tidied it up. The complex had posted notices that cameras had been installed to surveil, among other things, that people were cleaning up after their pets. Knowing big brother was watching, we continued to clean up our dogs poo.
Upon going to the office to ask about the notice, I was given the run around. First I was told by one worker that she had personally seen my dog defecate with her own eyes, which I found highly suspect because again, I clean up after my dog. When pressed further, she gave no detail that her statement was more than defensive posturing. When I asked why she just didn't take a picture with her own camera phone or try to stop the made-up infraction before it happened, she had no answer except do you want to speak to my manager? Duhhhh. When I asked for evidence or video from their cameras I was lead to believe that no such evidence existed which I assume means their policy was completely based on competing eyewitness accounts. I so staunchly advocated for video or a picture evidence because my dog is literally 5 pounds so the size of his poo is VERY distinct. At this point I was highly irate so they told me calm down and gave me a swab so I could go swab my dogs mouth and prove he was not the one pooping. So basically there was a presumption of guilt without corroborating evidence. WHAT A FANTASTIC POLICY.
My girlfriend tried to call the office to ask more about the swab but SHOCKER voicemail (another issue for another time). My girlfriend not one to easily give in to unfair demands drove to the office to talk them about poo swabs. Her understanding of the policy is that the trilogy apartment complex fines multiple owners when dog infractions occur in front of a building. It is then up to each dog owner to go to the office between 9am-6pm (work be damned!) to pick-up a Pooprints swab so you can DNA test your dog to prove its innocence?????? It would be different if the size of the poo piles in front of our building weren't the size of our dog.
Looked in the lease and the apartment doesn't even follow their own pet policy. The Lease contains the following clause concerning pet waste:
"49.(C)The pet shall eliminate its waste on the perimeter of the property, away from the landscaped areas. Resident must carry something to dispose of pet waste. Resident will be fined for violation. The first offense will be fifty-dollars ($50.00), second offense fine will be one hundred-dollars ($100.00), and third offense will result in eviction of pet. The pet may not be left unattended outdoors even on a staked leash"
After checking our fines on our web account we discovered only one infraction, the infraction from 2/17/19 for $100. This means the apartment, again, without corroborating evidence fined me (and possibly others) $100 dollars for what at worst should have been my first poo-policy infraction. I admit no fault, I am just highlighting the arbitrary nature of The Trilogy's poo-policy.
3/2 Update: Did not go discuss the poo policy like their response suggested. I had already wasted enough breath. They removed the charge, but mind you, without an apology for deviating from the lease. Damage has been done, we will not be renewing our lease, but hey at least we now know dog poo is worth its weight in gold at The Trilogy Apartments!
