Terrible pizza, decent beer, middling ambiance. Pizza review: The pizza they serve is a very crispy thin crust with an unreasonably amount of heavy, chunky toppings. It was cut into slices that say “we hate you” at the least. Our 12” (medium) Clark W pizza was cut into 12+ pieces that ranged from 1” wide to 4” wide in size. The cloves of garlic were as large as the chunks of pineapple, and there was so much food burdened on top of the pizza we had to eat it with forks (also insane on those 1" wide pieces) which was a terrible experience because the crust was so crispy. I HATED this pizza. My date HATED this pizza. Nothing felt balanced about the flavor or texture. I 100% would never pay for pizza here again. Drinks & Ambiance: When we arrived on a Saturday evening, it was very busy. We waited around in minor confusion on if we should seat ourselves our not. Two staff came by and spoke with the other two couples in the waiting area, but skipped us and we had to get their attention to get added to the waitlist. No biggie, they were busy. We were unfortunately seated near the kitchen, so the ambiance was smelling bleach water. Trying to read the drink options was really frustrating for my date, who has some vision impairment. It wasn't until after we ordered that we found there was a menu on the table that had a regular typeface, instead of the curly script. I liked my beer, but the smell of bleach from the kitchen was offputting. My partner didn't feel like their beer paired with the pizza well at all, which was just a bummer. It was extremely noisy and echoey (to be expected for a busy night) but the minimal decor definitely didn't help mitigate the noise. The rest of the experience was okay. Service was polite and attentive enough for how busy they were, but we were not served water for the whole meal, which was frustrating. All in all I'd say 2.5/5 stars. It's just average. I might go again and try a burger, but will probably stick to just drinks on a weekday.

I went twice, just to make sure. I wanted to know it wasn’t a fluke. One of the best burgers in town, I thought I’d give the place the true test, the ultimate test… the BLT test. If you can make a truly great BLT, you can conquer the world! It’s not something you can fake. It’s seems so simple that it evades most places. Barrel Mountain’s BLT was sublime! My heart fluttered! It is worth traveling for, but even more importantly, it was worth staying in the neighborhood for! Thank god you are in the neighborhood! An anchor for this St Johns corridor. you’re going to be here for awhile. You’re going to be part of neighborhood. You’re going to be a success. You’re going to make the corridor thrive. And it’s because you make a good BLT. And your staff is nice. And already I see the regulars settling in. And the families. And the good vibes. Welcome to the neighborhood! Thanks for the great sammiches!

After seeing some other people rave about Barrel Mountain Pizza and Pints I had to give it a try. Glad I did! Mackenzie was our server. She was happy and attentive. We got wings, 1/2 Kung pao and 1/2 maple bacon. Neither were super spicy. But damn they were great! Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. The flavor went all the way through and the wings were HUGE! We also got a small pizza with pineapple, peperoni, ham and sausage. They DO NOT skimp with the toppings. They were piled high! Pizza was delicious and not over sauced. The crust was crispy and help up well. My wife doesn't normally like sausage and she actually liked it. The beer selection was good. Plenty of choices. I got a pint of the stout. My wife has a 7 Oz Hefe and a 7 Oz amber. The stout was smokey and flavorful. She enjoyed hers, as well. The bill was $64 in total (tip included). We'll happily go back!

We’ve ate here over six times since they opened. I only gave three stars for atmosphere because we always order food to go but it’s always hopping in there when I arrive. They pizza is some of the best if not best in Vancouver! We tried some other menu items this time. Wife had a bacon burger which was a bit over cooked and dry but the fresh cut fries were excellent but over portioned if you can say such a thing. Could only eat half of them. I read a review about the BLT and had to give that a try. BEST BLT I HAVE EVER HAD!! The BLT is sometimes underrated in the sandwich world but this was over the top. Perfectly grilled bread with garlic butter. A nice aioli sauce. Enough smashed avocado to add flavor but not ruin the texture. At least six slices of bacon that were so smoky you should swear it just came out of a woodfired smoker. Lots of green leaf lettuce and crisp tomatoes. I couldn’t eat the whole thing! Hope to try the steak and cheese next time. I’ve met the owner a couple times and have told him they are going to kill it in this neighborhood. I don’t normally call a place back and tell them how good a meal I had but I did...

So firstly we picked this place because there is a Barrel Mountain Brewery in Battle Ground Washington that we love. However this time we decided to try this one closer. We were a party of 4 adults and 4 kids. We did get in quickly with such a large party however our server showed her annoyance when we told her we would be splitting checks. Then we waited and saw 3 other tables who sat after us order before we were and I finally had to flag our server down to take our order. Then when the food came out it all came out at separate times with one of the kids burgers being served way after everyone else. The food was not as expected at all I ordered a BLT and the fries were old and stale. The bread was soggy and there was no flavor to any of it. My girls ordered a pizza with pineapple and pepperoni and the pineapple you could tell had just come out of the can and dumped on top. One of the pieces didn't have sauce or cheese on it at all. The entire place was freezing and the experience was not enjoyable as it was a celebration for my sons 14th birthday. We definitely will not visit this place again but will keep frequenting the one in...
