Pho Tam — Restaurant in Vancouver

First time here and let me tell yall last. First of all when we were looking at the menu the worker taking our order he was just standing next to our table watching us the whole time we were deciding on what to get. I felt uncomfortable and rushed. 2nd My husband had ordered a side of steam rice just like we do at any other restaurant. The guy brought back a whole plate of beef with rice we were confused as to why? I thought maybe it was a mistake? Well we asked the guy and he said he couldn’t bring us the side of steam rice just the rice because it needed to come with another dish??? We were so confused this guy just forced us to buy another plate of food when we just wanted a side of rice. My toddler wanted the steam rice so we took the rice but we didn’t want the beef he had brought out . We had to pay for another extra plate we didn’t even want. Then when my husband went to go pay the guy took our money then told my husband he didn’t have any change to give him back? Ok? He stare at my husband like he was expecting to keep our change? Then a couple minutes of awkward silence the same guy ran outside to “get some change” for us. Never again will I...

Pho Tam is hands down my new go-to spot for Vietnamese food. The broth here is amazing, super flavorful, rich, and not too salty. You can tell it’s been simmered with care. The noodles are always cooked just right, and the meat is tender and delicious.

I also tried their spring rolls and banh mi, and wow… everything was fresh and packed with flavor. Portions are big too, so you definitely leave full.

The staff is super friendly and welcoming, and the food always comes out quickly even when it’s busy. The whole place just has a comfortable, homestyle vibe that makes you want to come back.

I was visiting from California and stopped by Phở Tâm after hearing great things -- and I'm so glad I did! The flavors here are spot on, with rich broth and fresh ingredients that really reminded me of some of the best Vietnamese spots back home.

The staff was super welcoming and friendly, which made the experience even better. Portion sizes were generous, prices were very reasonable, and everything tasted authentic.
